Wholesale Site

Oh dear. I never thought of that. Nevan has it listed on the page but it seems so complicated there

I am not sure what happened there but while I was looking, all the prices went up to 90$ something (45$ sale price), then now they are back to the same as here. I guess they are playing with it and they aren’t set yet ?
So don’t rush to get the membership yet.

I have a sales tax id number through the state of MN. It was free. I have to have one to sell at craft shows. I file once a year even if I claim 0. I was approved for the wholesale site. I also use it for Joanns Fabrics Wholesale and also a few other websites. I file taxes with the fed as DBA rather than a business.

Whats a DBA? So do you have to file if you don’t sell anything?

Doing Business As.

Ok thanks

I file federal because I make money every year. But if I don’t sell at crafts shows then I don’t have to pay sales tax but I still file each year

I received the same private invitation and what I understand for what I read is that the current site, will continue the same!, as now, but the Whole sale new site will have other benefits as well like ā€œno limitationsā€ on sales and / or quantities you can buy? I hope I don’t need to go to the whole sale site, because I am not a business, and I can continue to be a regular customer at the current site.

I think that is correct, that’s how I’m understanding it

Makes sense. I’m in Illinois and looking it up. Not sure if its worth obtaining if I don’t sell. Eventually I’d like to but haven’t gotten than far. Thanks for the info. Its very helpful.

When the WHOLESALE website is open, we will STOP doing promotions,
discounts and coupons on our existing (RETAIL) site, and put all of those
discounts on the WHOLESALE SITE ONLY!

Bringing down in the thread in case someone missed it. So, in reading this, there will still be occasional sales through the retail site, but wholesale members will have permanent discounts.

I’m glad they are continuing sales on the retail site, personally I was excited about a wholesale site, I applied for membership and was approved about an hour later and really like the prices and not having to pay tax on the wholesale site. But I thought it was really odd that they would discontinue all promotions on the retail site for those that don’t have licenses and certificates. This is great news for all of us in different business and hobby situations

So, will the prices at the wholesale site just be lower than the sales on the regular site, then?

They are lower, all Realborn kits are half the normal price, bodies are considerably lower priced, everything is discounted, not all by the same amounts, about $5 less for paint and some other supplies. But everything is definitely what I would consider wholesale pricing without any bulk purchasing requirements.

I’m having trouble figuring out what I need to get the certificate they want. I got the EIN or employer iD number but when I go into the state part , I can’t figure out what to do.

Does anyone have a link to where you can apply for the wholesale page? They never sent me an email.

If you go to the BB page, at the top it says click here if you are a reseller. When you click it, it will take you to the page that says apply here for membership

If people got this email and don’t have a license, I’m assuming you don’t need one

  • I got this email too -It still wants a tax ID number. (Washington state.)
