We had an awesome turn out on the Paint Swap!
We have a huge pile of heat set paint of several different brands, some of which we have never seen before. Most of the paint that came in was Genesis of all colors, varnishes and sizes.

There are still a few packages to deliver, but they have all been shipped.

It was great fun for us! I hope it added some value to all that participated.

I tried the Gemini Matte, alone, mixed with a little Gemini paint.
Pounced on with a sponge.

It is VERY matte. (which is how I felt about GHSP matte also)
No Cracking. No whiteness

And no rubber feel like the other matte I tried! So exciting! :heart:

I think I will need to grab some satin too and mix them like I used to with GHSP.

Any of you doing that already?

That’s how I use it, mixed with satin or mixed with some thick medium if I want more texture.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to do this. My package is still in transit. I’ve already tried the matte and know I like it. I’m excited to try the other mediums and colours I’ll be getting with my swap.

Yes, I am interested in trying the thick medium mixed in with it.
I have a wedding for our youngest daughter coming up April 27 so right now we are in wedding prep/panic mode! I am also trying to paint for DOTW babies when I can. I will be glad when I can settle my pace back down a bit.

I opened my box and i’m actually pretty sad :sob: I asked for the set of 5 basic colors and instead I got all burnt umber brown. womp womp. Now I really can’t test the paints because I don’t have the primary colors. I also got a few extra white jars that weren’t on the packing list. lol :woman_shrugging:

i’m excited to try the matte varnish though.

i’m sure I can use this for hair mixed with other colors but I already have IRHSP brown hair paint that I spent a lot of money on and use. darnit lol

I also didn’t get the glazing gel or look alive. that’s ok because idk if I need it anyway but I thought the packing slip and shipping notification included what was for sure in the box!

Hi Alypants,

You should have received 3 boxes in your shipping pouch.
For the basic sets you would have 5 burnt umber, 5 white, 5 red, etc.

Were there three boxes in your pouch?

the bag did have a small rip but I assumed wrongly nothing was missing because there seemed to be plenty of paint, just wrong colors. I didn’t realize I was getting 5 sets. My apologies!

it seems I am missing the box that had 5 yellows, reds, blues, and maybe 2 whites? possibly the glazing gel and look alive was in there too :confused:
