We are doing a St. Patrick’s Day paint swap starting this Saturday and running for 3 days.

Send us your heat set paint or varnish that you don’t want anymore, any brand, any size, new or used, and we will send you an equivalent in the new Gemini Heat Set line free of charge. We will do our best to color match and volume match.

This is limited to heat set paints or varnishes. The email will go out Saturday with all the details.

Interesting idea. All of paint is in storage, but hopefully somebody takes advantage of this if it’s something they’ve been wanting to do.

What if I don’t want some colors, like Warm Blush that Bountiful Baby mixed with Genesis? Can other color be requested?

Got mine packed and ready to go @bountifulbaby. I plan to mail it today. I assume it just needs to be postmarked by the 17th as I am sure it will not make it to you by Monday.

It says they will send us an email Saturday with all the details so I will be waiting eagerly for the instructions as to what to pack up and how to send it.

I see they have edited the post to include that. It says limited to heat set paints now but in a reply to Quiltsabunch they say varnishes too. Confusing. Guess I’ll be waiting for that email before I send. x

Another question: can be a jar of paint be swapped with a jar of varnish?

Thanks for the question.
We will make it so you can swap varnish for paint or paint for varnish and color for color.
Our goal is for you to receive something back that you would normally use or like.
We will put a link to the Gemini page in the email so you can include item numbers of the paints or varnishes you want to receive back. Then our guys will do their best to determine the volume of paints and varnishes you sent in and pull from your list of item numbers.
If there is no note we will match color for color and varnish for varnish.

I think by saying heat at Paints, they just meant a heat set line of paint not meaning only colours.

That’s what I was thinking

I have some original genesis paints that I don’t want. Someone might think it’s gold but it’s no good to me. I feel bad for swapping it but it would be nice to have something I’d use.
