I know what you mean. I’ve opened the door holding a baby part I was painting so many times our UPS guy and our mail guy don’t even flinch now. But they did at first!

I have a board on my wall that has pegs (covered with felt) that has 8 pegs across and 5 down so can hold a lot. Also have a metal rack on my desk to hold the heads.

I use a peg board as well~my Father-N-Law had a few pegboards & packs of pegs w/ rubber tips on them in his workshop & it kept me from having to purchase anything
