When putting your kit together

Do you use the plugs for the limbs when assembling your babies? If no, do you use anything to seal the limbs?

I don’t use plugs. I’ve tried hot glue by itself, hot glue with felt and cotton rounds, and hot glue with fabric. I’ve tried e6000 with all of those things. I’ve tried tacky glue with all of those things also. The best thing that works for me is tacky glue and cotton rounds.

I like to use plugs too. Some kits are easy to find plugs the right size for, some not so much. The plugs give more stability to the attachment points and reduce the risk of the limb coming off later. Sort of like having a bone inside to keep the round shape consistent.
For kits I can’t find plugs to fit, usually the smaller ones, I’ve used self-adhesive moleskin and it works well too.
Either way, I think it’s important to have the ends covered to keep the contents where they need to stay!

I used plugs for the first 1 I did. The second one I used the cotton rounds n the e6000.

I don’t ever get plugs any more. They used to always be sent with the BB kits but they quit that a few years back. I cut felt circles the size to cover the whole top of the flange(not just the hole) and glue it down with gorilla clear gel glue

Some people use moleskin (it’s almost like strong felt with a sticky back IMO). Seems like an easy solution.

I just glue cardboard circles over the flange with E6000, works perfect!!

Can the moleskin be brought from a craft store, like Michaels?

I use plugs, but when I cannot find the correct size I use the adhesive felt padding that is 1/8" thick that I ordered at Amazon.
