What was the ugliest doll kit you have ever painted?

I have done some really ‘interesting’ ones (to say the least) over the years… some so bad I hate to show them here but here are a FEW of the ones I most hated painting.

Some of you will remember the BB Celeste Challenge… Ugghh!

Believe it or not I had to make 2 of this one…

Hahahaha! Absolutely… actually I look back at my whole first year of reborning and wonder… My only conclusion is that maybe reborn dolls were relatively new at that time and no one knew any better…haha!

I have a BB cuddle Anna head that I painted. I even repainted her and partially rooted her and still think she’s ugly. I don’t know if it’s worth wasting a cuddle body on.

I can’t find a photo of the ugliest, which was Jacelyn but oh boy Easton sure was a close 2nd I used to buy whatever sculpt BB had on sale back when they had the $10 kit of the day babies!

Harper and Tibby were some of the worst/ugly kits for me. Terrible painting too lol

Flossie was it for me but at the doll show everyone loved her and she was the only one that sold. Go figure. Her new mom put these clothes on her.

Omgosh! Those shoulders are something, and the length of thigh. Different limbs would completely transform Rosie.

I haven’t got any to show, but I didnt like Realborn Aria at first, but grew to love her. I was so sad when I scrapped her.

Same feelings with Ivy, but she is so much better painted. I’d definitely do more of her.

This was an old RDK kit I got in a mixed lot. It had terrible red vinyl. It had one eye open and one closed. I tried opening the other eye and had a heck of a time getting an eyeball glued onto it. Poor thing was so ugly and yet a former customer wanted to buy her! 2018

I don’t remember this kit’s name but it was a Carol Kniesly baby and he was pretty ugly. I was into him at the time though. 2011

Her shoulders look like she is lifting weights and her legs oh my they look like they could be twisted into a pretzel​:joy:. However, you did a great job on her painting.
