THIS IS ABSLOUTELY NUTS...Kit issues

So I’m working on Bria as you most know. I was just put on her matte varnish. As I’m putting on the varnish I noticed the kit felt rough on the inside. I just looked and GUESS WHAT!? THERE’S tons of cracks and rough patches on the inside. THIS IS NUTS!!! Like there is one huge crack it is almost a slit going from her neck flange to the ear. It is literally almost splitting through the outside. I’m thinking this formed because of baking and the age of the kit. Her kit is about 10 years old. I think it is dry rotted.

HAS this happened to anyone before? What could be the cause and how can I fix?

BUT I AM SO UPSET because I am almost finished. I was about to do her hair and this is a custom!!! Like I haven’t had hardly any luck lately with reborning. I almost ready to throw in the towel after I finish my customs. Like this is absolutely ridiculously.

I had that with one of the new Megan’s I did .all I could think was that I heated it to much not sure though what happened it was a cross the nose I was so sad I did not find it tell I had head 3/4 rooted

These are the “rough” patches.

That is nuts. I wonder if there was bubbles or something.

I had what felt like glass beads around the rip

What did you do? This is custom and still have to bake at least 4 times because I was doing painted hair.

I wonder if you could use some kind of glue to cover the inside to hold it together? I am new to reborning, so it’s not a surprise I have never heard about this happening to anyone before. I did see a Mathis on ebay, a booboo baby, that looked like it’s whole head had been blown apart and put back together. It was a shame, it was a beautiful baby. I thought maybe somebody at home got really mad at her and destroyed the baby. I did not want to be rude and ask…I bet it was the exact same problem : (

I have an idea…maybe you could glue a reinforced layer of cloth or something on the inside…like maybe a muslin, before it opens to the outside. Sort of like they do fiberglass.

Thank you. I think it an be glued as well but I’m worried that I have to bake a few more times.

I think I can stuff a rag in to bake the last layers then I’ll glue.

Don’t use super glue I ruined Megan with it

E6000? I don’t know if it is strong enough.

What about liquid scupley
