Share your childhood doll

You still have all your original babies?! What a treasure trove :two_hearts:

I have almost all of them. I loved my dolls. Still do.

My Friend Mandy was my favorite too, but I had this one:

Awesome thread! I love looking at all of these dolls. I don’t have my childhood dolls, but I loved the cabbage patch I had and this one.

I don’t remember the dress mine came with but I do remember that straw hat that shows in that picture

This baby looks like BBs Milo, doesn’t she?

I think so.

I’m still checking out this Tiny Tears doll. How do the tears work? This doll must be really old. This was my mother’s favorite doll and shes almost 70.

First you fed her. Then you squeezed her. There are tiny holes near the inside corners of her eyes where the ‘tears’ came out.

I have that same baby beans that I just got from the Goodwill store. She still talks when you pull the string.

I had quite a few dolls, but my favorite was Love N Care Kelly - or as I called her, Chicken Pox Kelly.

You used warm water to give her “chicken pox” and ice to make them disappear - or the other way around?

I never heard of such a doll even existing, NEAT!

I had two Vogue Baby Dear One dolls. One with blonde hair and blue eyes and one with brown hair and brown eyes.

I also had a Madame Alexander Baby Huggums and a tiny Baby Huggums. They were identical with blonde hair and blue eyes with a cloth body and cloth legs. They even both had the same baby blue drop seat sleeper!

I had to borrow photos, as well. I do have all my babies, but sadly they are packed away right now.

Not my childhood doll- my mother’s Betsy Wetsy I think from mid 1950’s. The booties got lost at some point, but this is the original dress and bonnet.

Yup, and that was the same one I had…I don’t know why but she remained one of my favourites. I liked to sleep with her. Her voice box died and she would just make a strange noise that sounded a bit like a record skipping. I should get another one…Ill have to look around on Ebay.

I had madame Alexander Hugums, Victoria and puddin. Then I had a sort of cloth doll that was made to resemble me. They are back in the closet in Rubbermaid’s. I keep thinking about pulling them out but it’s gonna be a feat. Maybe this will encourage me. when I was just out of college I realized my mom was letting my nieces play with them. Nope!!! After a nice conversation, She took them to a doll hospital to get restored then gave them to me.

Bring them out. There’s no point in having them if you can’t enjoy them.

I had several, they’re all stored away in boxes now, though. Don’t think I have any I can take pics of right now.
