This one. I had a dress that matched her. My mother would dress my doll and I to match. Lol.

I don’t have pictures of mine. But I did have them after I was grown and left home. My brother moved into the house where we grew up. My dolls and other family things were in that house in an old trunk. He said he took the whole thing to the dump and dumped it. I was so sad. I know one of my favorites was named Linda. Just a vinyl or plastic doll. Nothing special really. But, then I also had a Tressy doll. She had a section of hair that was in the middle of her head. You could make it “grow” by pulling on it. And, then it had a key that you could wind back in with. There were others, too. I did love my baby dolls.

This is a picture I googled of Tressy:

I always had the same feeling that my Elizabeth would come to life when I wasn’t looking. I think that’s why I was never able to send her to a doll hospital to be fixed up. I kind of feel like it would hurt her feelings if I sent her away.:joy:

I had one too! No idea what happened to her.

I sometimes buy them off eBay and restore them. The dolls have a lot of issues as they aged. Sagging faces. Popped stitching in hands and feet. I enjoy bringing them back to life

Does anyone remember Baby Heather? I got one for Christmas and it was the best thing ever until her head popped off while I was carrying her on my hip just a few days after Christmas. I believe I was scarred for life. (These are not my pics-I don’t know where my Heather went)

Very cool. I can’t even remember what they’re called but that fuzzy skin was the best.

No, it was animatronic. She has sleep/wake cycles, had to feed her when she got hungry, and she was supposed to eventually learn to speak. It’s kind of hard to speak when your head is dangling by a bunch of wires off the side of your shoulder…it was really horrifying lol
