What scale do you use to weigh your babies. I know not all scales are right because my big people scale at my house weights different then doctors office. I had a baby scale but it is broke. What brand do you use? Is it a baby scale, kitchen scale, etc.
I use a kitchen scale
Kitchen scale as well! They’re usually pretty accurate!
I bought an inexpensive mail scale at eBay - it has saved me lots in postage costs, allows me to print accurate labels at home, and makes it easy to weigh my babies. I paid around $10 for it.
Do the kitchen scales or mail scale hold the babies all the way or do you have to put a basket?
I sit them on their butts on the scale
I set a cookie sheet on it and zero out the scale!
I put mine in a basket (tare the basket weight) and weigh babies in that on a kitchen/postal scale.
I used to have a little kitchen scale but it broke. Now I weigh myself with and without the doll and do a little math.
Okie dokie! Thank all of you!
That’s adorable.
I use a kitchen scale and a postage scale to make sure my numbers are right.
I’ve got a luggage scale too and I use a paper tote to hold the baby. They look cuter the way you do it though!
That is brilliant!
I am lucky and have a digital baby scale at work, and have a traditional baby scale at home.
I have a digital baby scale I bought when I had my first baby. I ended up using it later when I bred my dogs and now I use it for my babies. It ended up being a really good purchase for me.
I have a cheap kitchen scale, plop the baby on its bum like @jlesser. I wonder if a fish scale would work like a luggage scale. They are pretty affordable.
I use a kitchen scale with a bowl on it for newborns and for heavier toddlers I weigh myself on the scale while holding them, put the baby down, weigh myself and subtract.
I use a postal scale with the babies folded up on them. For toddlers, I do as @EnchantedOrphanage does.
I also do it this way
I use a postage scale
