Possible scam on reborns.com? Resolved

I think I may have been scammed on reborns.com this morning. I hope I’m wrong. There was a Berenguer Lily doll listed (unreborned). I’ve wanted her for a long time so I bought it and paid for it through PayPal with my credit card. When the transaction automatically went to PayPal the name on the account was not the name on the listing and one that would have been a red flag for me. There was no way to halt the transaction. I cancelled my credit card, have a call in to PayPal and notified Dave. Dave said he looked through my orders and there weren’t any so I couldn’t have ordered it on reborns.com but I did.
I looked through the entire site and the doll is not under adopted, customs, accessories or any other category. Would it still show if the account had been deleted?

Jean I saw that yesterday, weren’t there 3 of them listed and she had another listed separately,not a Berenguer though. Lily was in the middle.

I saw her on IG listed from Reborns yesterday. I went to look for the listing and didn’t see it at all. I sure hope it wasn’t a scam :grimacing:

If their membership expired, it will be very hard to try and find the nursery as it can only be found with a link that was shared I believe. IG has the link I think.

I think her membership just expired.

Shes looks fine, I don’t see scam looking stuff but I could be wrong.

It was that doll but I’m not sure it was that listing. Someone on the reborns forum said she’s legit. If it’s her I owe her an apology. It shows as adopted in her nursery but not on the Adopted filter. I went through all 10,342 adopted dolls to check.

Oh my goodness that is so strange.
PayPal will take care of that for you no problem just give them a phone call

My PayPal and my nurserie don’t have the same name. I tried to change it but I don’t know how. that’s may be the case here.

Did you try to contact her? I hope everything will end-up well for you.

I e-mailed her but haven’t heard back.

She probably just had a different name on her PayPal ( I use my husbands, mine was hacked a few years ago when I wasn’t using it much)

@jeanhai I hope you end up getting her.

I’m probably not going to be able to get her. The person who was selling her is really angry and has blocked me from contacting her. I honestly was afraid that it was a scam but it wasn’t. I feel really bad that I hurt and upset her. I apologized to her on the reborns forum because it was the only way I could contact her. So now I’m going to go to my corner and try not to feel like crap.

We are getting so bombarded with scams so it is understandable. Don’t feel bad for being cautious. She should understand if she has been in this community for a while. I sure hope you find your baby! @jeanhai

I think we all do and say things we regret, I know I certainly have. The fact that you are sharing this we us and tried to apologize to her seems to me it was just one of those mistakes we all make. Hopefully she will realize this too and choose to send you the doll.

Don’t feel bad as you didn’t do anything wrong. You were protecting your finances and your private information. What’s not to understand here? Hugs!
