My ethnic June really started to look more ethnic with some mint green washes. I really quite like her right now though!

I wonder if I am thinking of the right kit then… I am going to go look through the discontinued list…

It is the Asleep version i was thinking of that I really want to paint, but the Awake is adorable. I prefer sleeping babies though.

I prefer the sleeping version too but this one was in sale so…
I am not sure I like him very much. I tried new things on him.
His eyelashes are a pain to root.

I agree, I took you guys advice on another thread and did a sap green wash and it really made my baby go to an olive tone really fast, had I continued I could see him turning biracial quick. I love this forum just for inspiration like this!

You’re welcome! Your Ferdinand really was amazing, I love your work!

Biracial Kate. I think I have to stop here. I almost ruin her at one point, but managed to salvage her. Now she is getting muddy again.

She looks great, don’t change anything!

Sure, the mint green is a blue green base, which will cancel out both red and orange tones, getting you more on the right track to a nice neutral brown, without darkening. That’s my opinion. I think it’s very beneficial for biracial babies to keep them from getting too dark. If I am visualizing pictures of real newborns that are light skinned, I see almost a gray tone. Very very neutral, then pinky tones added in later. Hope that helps. I have no experience with sap green, but June did become June through 2-3 mint washes at different times during her painting.

@YelenaRey I meant to say red and orange, not red and yellow. I corrected it!

June after some earth mint, and a super cute baby that has been shared before on this forum by someone else.

I got the dusky tinge to mine (which does not show up on my cell phone camera) by mixing ultramarine blue and burnt umber into one of the scariest washes I have ever used. Mix it up and see why it is scary

Last post on Kate, I promise :hugs: She is the first kit I have ever done in which I think the limbs actually detract from the baby. I put them on a body and ugh…I have a cuddle body on the way, so here’s to my first cuddle baby! Here is her next to one if my caucasian babies.

On another note, I was going to start Leah. Is it just me or are her limbs freakishly long? She has a tiny head for these crazy spaghetti arms…

She is so sweet, I love how she finally came out!

Your Kate’s adorable! I’ve used those limbs on another kit that shares them (don’t remember which one now lol) and I found that they were slightly less awkward looking if you rotate them so that the elbows point more outward and the claw hands are sort of flat against the body if that makes sense. Still very distracting limbs though!

Thomas is born today. I may change the body tho. It’s a front full leg but it gave him football shoulders, and it’s too large.
He is certainly not my best work. I am not sure how I feel about him. I will sell him cheaper for sure.

I’m trying to get the nerve to combi root Summer Rain after painting her hair. I regret the first needle poke every time lol

Working on a removable yarn wig for my Honey hobo clown. Just need to finish the top and give it a trim. I’m also planning to give him some rooted hair as well. I wish I could get a true color pic with my phone.

I love him! And I don’t normally like alternative babies, especially clowns!
