Im getting slightly frustrated with the blushing faseā¦ it just wonāt takeā¦ previous I used thinning medium, but stopped because of the shine it gave. So now building the layers with thinner and ghpā¦but it doesnāt show. I tried more pigmented but no differenceā¦ evey time I start with blushing layers I come to a big errorā¦
This is my picture of Ollie, with 6 (!) Detail Blushing layersā¦ but I canāt see itā¦ someone please help?!

You need to add more paint so it is a stronger colorā¦

I do the same thing with mottling.

Can you post a picture of your paint and how thin it is please?

Maybe a thin layer of Matt varnish first, the paint may need something to grab onto.

Hey pia, I did twice as much paint by my thinnerā¦ wonāt it get chalky if I add more paint?

@joanne the strange thing is that all my other layers do okā¦ only blushing isnāt visibleā¦ same colorsā¦?
Only Flesh colors and those with white added will be chalky. The photo you posted it more like a āwashā consistency. Wish I had taken a photo of my blush color before I cleaned up my messā¦

That does not look concentrated enough to be blush. Add more paint to it.

This is dried right now but I use this palette a lot. I would as a few drops of paint thinner and mix very well so all is incorporated. Use a test part at first and blend blend blend. Iām a heavy painter so keep that in mind. Also the oven will suck in that paint.

Just be careful. This is pigmented but Iāve been painting for about 4 years now. Do little dots and blend :). As Pia said and I agree yours is like a wash. So keep us posted!

Update: going much better ā¦ but this morning the lid broke of my ovenā¦ this is one of this weekendsā¦ bit scared to use my heatgunā¦ melted pieces beforeā¦or paint not curing in tiny holesā¦ so patienceā¦

Check Marketplace and Craigās list for used NuWave Ovensā¦ I have at least 4 lidsā¦ blushing is showing up nowā¦

@pia thnx! I want to buy new one I thinkā¦the last 2 I bought on marketplace were broken by arrival, or there was something wrong with them (thatās why they sold them apparentlyā¦ here in the Netherlands there are no nuwave ovens to be foundā¦ only on Amazon with crazy shipping costsā¦
So Monday in search of new oven, or by someone I trust
