I’m trying my best not to mess her up because I spent way too much on this baby (the eyes especially hahah). But I’m trying not to be too hard on myself, they really don’t look that terrible though I can see the flaws

I paint the lips in a very light color before I paint anything else so I can get them the shape that I want. I can strip and change them without having to be careful of paint on the face.

I also do a base color on lips in the very early stages so if I have to strip them I don’t have to strip layers of paint. Just a few. And if you go carefully with a Qtip it doesn’t mess the paint around it. Luckily hahaha

You know what.. this is actually a good idea. I normally just ignore the lips till later, but this makes sense.

I’m ready for Esther to get her new Ping Lau vinyl kits. I rarely paint the Ping Lau toddlers because I have terrible luck with them. Leonie lived up to my bad luck. 
Esther is great though. She said she will send me a new head whenever the new vinyl kits arrive.

My Calia Lau torso split. My Ping Lau grumpy Grace head split. Now Leonie’s head. Esther is switching factories. But it’s been a slow process. She was clearing out the old vinyl kits to make room for the new ones. I took a chance on Leonie since she was clearanced. I guess I should have just waited for the new ones to arrive. As for others…my Zippy torso split. But I can’t think of any other kits that I’ve had problems with.

Personally my main issues are wrap around belly plates.
Ive just seen posts on Facebook groups with people getting splits or melted/warped kits now that most heat sets have longer bake times
