There have been a few comments about the hands and feet. They look pretty simple to me, so I’m trying to figure out what you all like so I can repeat it on other dolls. :sweat_smile: Is it the nails?

The nails are incredibly realistic and the creasing color is great! What colors do you use if you don’t mind me asking

I have never really nailed down anything despite doing this for 10 years and kind of wing it with each one, so I actually don’t know. :sweat_smile:

I use Golden paints. By the time I get to nails, there will usually be some kind of pinkish color sitting around, so I’ll just grab a bit and usually adjust it with blue to get what I need. For that part under the tip, I’ll use crimson if nothing already available looks right.

Creases are exactly the same. I just go with whatever is sitting on my desk, except for deep creases. I like a shadow in there so I’ll start with paynes gray, layering on other colors along the way.

Today’s progress on Serenity. I think this is about 9 hours worth and the back and most of the sides are still bald.
