Let’s show our WIP part 4 (Part 3)

I think they’ve changed it again because I can’t find that, either.

I found it on Amazon … for $130!

Are you in the US?

Yes, I’m in Florida.

Want me to send you some of mine? I have a 27 oz bottle. It’s a lot of drops. lol

That’s so sweet but you don’t have to! I’ve never tried it before anyways. I just love the super glossy eyes and I’m looking into how to do it.

I don’t mind. Just PM me your name and mailing address. I’ll never use all of it and $130 is ridiculous! I drip it on with a brush but a dropper would probably work better. You shouldn’t touch it with anything (like a brush) once it’s on the eyeball because it leaves visible marks. You just drop it in the center and let it flow to the sides.

Yes, it’ correct. If I get too much I always use a sharp edged q-tip to soak extra solution from the corners, otherwise it will dry with excess lines on the top or on the bottom.
After I see that it leveled to my liking I prop it horizontally and cover with an empty plastic container, so no dust will get on the eyes while they are drying. Then I don’t touch it for 24 h.

Keep in mind, if the eyes are set with gaps, Pledge will go behind the eyes through those gaps.

Would this also work?

Also has anyone used this for eyelashes?

This is how mine look when I bough it 5 years ago.
I think word ‘gloss’ is fundamental here.

I also have clear mascara, as I know that some artists used it for the eyelashes, however I never achieved the desired effect and fear that I’ll get in on the finished baby stopped me from using it.
I know @quiltsabunch is using it. I have her baby and her eyelashes are amazing!

I thought long and hard about this decision, but it feels right. I’ve decided not to keep the 3 dolls I was making as my memorial dolls, because they just aren’t feeling right. I’m not feeling attached to them like I hoped for.
I have a few other kits in my mind to be my memorial dolls that I am hoping to get soon. They just immediately felt right when I saw them.

Sounds like a wise decision. If they don’t feel right, they won’t give you any comfort.

Just wanted to show Ivy’s nails a little closer, I think they turned out pretty okay. Using the pencils is sooo much easier than painting them aha.

Elsie is coming along. It’s been a while since I have attempted a darker skin tone. This kit just really made me want to.

Luca and Denver Rose finally have some creases after waiting all summer… I think both are going to end up with painted hair. Luca has a head like a rock lol

Current WIP’S …

I decided to be brave and try to paint some subtle veins on Ivy’s legs, feet and hands, as well as some capillaries on her upper eyelids and cheeks. I think they turned out pretty good!

A couple close-ups …

I was really trying to get the 3 RealBorn’s I’ve been working on done last night, but before I knew it, it was creeping up on 2 A.M. … yikes!

I decided to use them for testing new techniques and details on, but I managed to epically fail painting Pearl and Ever’s limbs, so they are now cuddle babies. Oops haha.

Here is where Pearl is at so far, I think I’m seeing a baby BOY! :blue_heart: I tried for a very newborn complexion:

Here is where Ever is at so far, do you see a baby BOY :blue_heart: or a baby GIRL :cherry_blossom: ??

Here is where Autumn is at so far, I’m thinking it looks like a baby BOY! :blue_heart: I still need to finish his nails…

I was brave enough to paint veins on all three babies, they make me so nervous! Haha! I also tried capillaries and lanugo on all three, which I’ve never done before. All three babies still need “painted” eyebrows and hair (Prismacolor Penciled), varnishes and glosses and Ever and Autumn will have rooted eyelashes.
Pearl and Ivy will have a watery eye effect.
Ivy still needs a whole head of red curls!

I’m still quite new to air dry so, please keep that in mind!

Your babies are looking great, especially Pearl! Did a blue layer on Everleigh with a little blue shading and creases. Doesn’t look much different yet but hoping to start some mottling layers soon. Spent too much time lint picking, so annoying!
