Little update on Miss Charlotte.
When I say I’m going for a paler skin I mean I’m trying to avoid too much redness and I’m going for a calmer less out of the womb look. My definition of pale might not be the same as everyone’s…I’m defined pale in my country but I’m definitely more tan than other people
anyway it’s fun to experiment!

I haven’t painted since before the doll show. I got asked by someone locally to make her daughter a doll so I’m going to do my best to make a budget baby. I have a hard time holding back on the details so we will see. So far I’ve got my wash layers on to give this pale vinyl some colour.

I think her skin tone is mostly done. She is very different from my usual babies but I’m glad I experimented a bit with some risky colours

Love the coloring.
I think some reds, like blushing and thin washes, would really bring her to life, maybe a thin burnt umber wash?
It might be the lighting or my screen settings but right now she looks cold to me

Yes she is showing up pretty blue in photos. Some blush washes might be just the thing she needs

I know, it must be my camera. In person she’s much warmer, but I will try some more warm washes just to see if it changes much. Thanks!
