I am so confused with the new Reborns.comš So many changes, I personally feel like your doll gets LESS exposure now. How does everyone else feel? Maybe Iām missing something.
I canāt figure how Dave thinks everyone is being treated equally, and many others agree with him. It seems very expensive to get a doll to show and I canāt be paying him every ten days to purchase thickets to get my doll shown. I canāt tell if he a fantastic mastermind or a fantastic scam man?
I also think itās expensive. And unless your constantly using ācreditsā your doll doesnāt get seen. Even when I pay to have it āfeaturedā it only lasts a very short time. Then itās nowhere to be found. Itās confusing and expensive in my opinion. If Iām wrong Iād love to have someone explain it to me at least.
I never pay for featuredā¦but may in the futureā¦Iām too cheap.
I also think where you could only showcase one doll per dayā¦now you can showcase a doll every 2 hoursā¦so I think people are using up their credits and showcasing more oftenā¦which pushes your doll down the page quicker.
I am trying not to showcase more than once a day and usually vary the time of day that I do itā¦sometimes morning and then sometimes evening.
I did cave and showcase twice in one day last weekā¦donāt know that it got me any more clicks.
I donāt count showcasing as an expense because I paid the same amount for 30 showcasing opportunities before he changed it and the way the credits workā¦you still get 30 opportunities.
If I understand right, before he changed it, you actually had to pay to use the feature?? I donāt really know bc I never featured a doll.
Everything is so confusing, now you pay to list, pay for emails to be sent, pay to have your doll shown on the front page for about an hour , if that. And pay a membership too. But I have to promote my doll myself on Facebook, Instagram ectā¦
Can somebody make this make sense to me
I left a while back as same that he is greedy year by year. I mean I get that is hard work to maintain the site , but still
I do not understand it either. When I listed last time, which was about a year ago, your listing automatically showed in just listed for awhile when you first listed and then rotated through to the front page. This was part of what was included in the membership fee. Your doll might not stay on the front page long, but it would continue to rotate through to the front page for the duration of your membership unless it sold. You could buy credits to feature listings if you wanted. If I understand now you have to use the credits that are included in the 30.00 membership fee to get your doll to appear at all in the listings that somone might just browse through. They will not appear in just listed or rotate through. Otherwise the potential buyer has to pull your doll up in a search or look at your nursery. Or are you just using credits to get on the front page?
The credits really donāt do much either. The doll only shows for a very short time.
He is not as greedy as ebay or etsyā¦which charge about 12-14% total sale price (including ahipping)¹ā¦yetā¦so still a bargain in my book.
Maybe not so much for people who sell many items per monthā¦you would run out of credits and might possibly have to spend money to buy more
.
We always had to pay to Feature and it never stayed there very long. Now, after it features in the streaming listings, it goes into view all featured and rotates there. If you pay to showcase, it doesnāt seem like you have to keep paying. They rotate there, also, like they always have. I can say that featuring does seem to get more clicks.
My 2 hour slots arenāt working properly, when I try to show a doll two or even more than two hours later it jumps to the time I want but the next day. So beyond irrational, Iām just sick of the mess it has become.
When Dave changed everything I only had 9 days left for the month. He gave me $4.50 in credits. I had listed three dolls that months but they all sold. The only thing I had left was a few crochet items. So I started tootling around with it just to see what it was all about. By the time the month ended I decided I liked it. Added bonus, with all that showcasing and featuring one of my crochet items sold.
Ok, so let me try to figure out how to make work. I have 1 baby listed. Iāve showcased it once, Iāve featured it twice so far and itās ALWAYS like 7 pages down, it takes ME forever to find it ( see it ) and itās so annoying. I can only imagine someone looking for a baby. I honestly donāt believe someone would spend that much time looking though babies, most likely they find one they like in the first few pages. So exactly how do I , or what do I do to keep it on the upper pages?
I would concentrate more on the less expensive āshowcaseā rather than āfeatureā. Showcase brings it right back to the front page right below ājust listedā.
Iām not sure why when you feature your doll would be on page 7. When I featured my crochet items they went across the top of the page on that sliding photos thing.
I renewed it and then listed a doll, it was 2.7 credits, the next day it was 2.8 credits when I listed another. I realized I could only put 3 dolls a month on the front page. I went to put a third item and now itās less than 2 credits. I hope it would at least stay that way so I donāt have to pay 40 a month to put on the dolls.
Way weird, or is it because of the price you are selling the dolls?
It supposedly goes by price.
Over $499 costs more. Why is one thing I canāt figure out.
He said people that sell higher priced dolls should ācontribute moreā
