Installing a baby heartbeat heart..!

I have a baby beating heart that I’d Love to put into my reborn doll, but I’m not sure how to do that…Does anybody know, or have done this themselves…???
I’m thinking about using a “touch of E6000” glue as I don’t think it’ show through the body;
I’ve thought of sewing in a “heart pocket” but I don’t like the idea of stitching showing through the suede body;

You could use mole skin to adhere to inside of body.

I did what @judylane1961 suggested.

I just put one up for sale with a heartbeat on reborn. I used a pocket I sewed into the front seam.

so by sewing it into the front seam; do you mean that the heart slips into a pocket inside the front of the cloth body…?
So it’s ok that the sewn pocket seam shows through the front of the body…And the heart doesn’t slip up out of the pocket…?

Almost like @pschomaker I made a pocket on the side. I took the stitching out reinforced the stitch made a pocket long enough to reach the place where the heart is. You can add velcro to keep it closed. I left mine open. I did this so that it can be replaced or just taken out if not wanted. I am making a pocket sometime today. If you like I can show you as I go along either in a PM or on here if anyone else wants to see.

I’d love to see the steps too. Here’s a picture of my version. The heart fits in very tightly so I didn’t need any closures.

Can you share with us how you made it…I’d like to see both ideas

The doll is already made so it’s too late to take pictures of how it is constructed. Basically I made a pocket first that would fit around the heart. Then I opened the front seam on the body to the length needed to insert the pocket.

you did it beautifully…you barely have any seems showing,?
Can I PM you…I’d like to know; so you cut a piece of material about the same size as the heart, then you gently ripped the front seam open, then you sewed the piece of material in there so that the heart is against material and not stuffing…? suggestions

It is not difficult…if you sew. It’s basically placing a pocket which may take a bit of practice if you don’t sew.

Well I took your picture and I blew it up on my screen so that I can see the belly seem better; I’m not sure whether to hand sew it or sewing machine; It’ just that I want to be very careful because i’m planning on selling this baby on etsy :slight_smile:
