I preordered two Sunna kits from LLE since this round of kits was set to ship from the US and no additional fees would be added.
I’ve never seen this on UPS tracking before. Is it a mistake to ignore or am I supposed to do something?

I would think that it did not ship from the US if import fees are getting collected by UPS. Are you able to see through detailed tracking if it actually was shipped from the US?
I didn’t even think to look all the way back, but yes, you are right. For some reason this package started in Canada.
The only reason I decided to move forward with the purchase was because it was stated on her website that this particular pre-order was not subject to additional fees, though outright buying in stock kits would be.
Someone here clarified that she sent a bunch of kits to one of the US dealers. Bobbi maybe? That made sense so I figured there wouldn’t be any issues.
I would contact LLE.
I just sent her a message. Was originally hoping this would be some kind of UPS error to ignore. ![]()
Welp.
I know someone besides me remembers the message on the LLE website that said that additional fees would not apply to the Sunna pre-order. It was literally right there with listing information for Sunna along with the option to add to cart
I hesitated to order because I understood that we were responsible for fees otherwise, but after learning that this batch was bulk shipped to a US dealer it made sense and I felt good about ordering.
Here was reply one:
I am sorry, LLE does not cover taxes/Duties on orders, as stated on our website. This is the customer's responsibility.
I replied, elaborating further. Here is the second response:
Your Order not the pre-order that was distributed from a US dealer. These pre-orders were completed and shipped. Your order was a deposit /re-stock, as we had run out of kits for any new order that came through.
We are sorry for any misunderstanding
Looks like I’m on my own with this one. I paid the fees directly on the UPS site to avoid the hassle of running down my package. The sculptors have it hard enough these days, so I will not be loud and difficult. I will however be extremely cautious with my kit orders from now on.
I was afraid that might be the case. I still am a little unclear as to how tariffs work. Why are Amazon and other businesses getting refunds after the Supreme Court ruling but we are still getting charged tariffs? Was it reinstated or something? I simply cannot keep up.
This is what I heard recently as well, so in my mind this would have been a non-issue overall as of late. Clearly that’s not the case.
As far as this pre-order goes, I hope this is just a me problem and that the other kits went out like they were supposed to. I’m in a position to eat additional costs, but not every artist is able to.
Seems this was not explained clearly at all, I still don’t understand her reply, seems to me it would be the “right” thing for LLE cover for you?
I also think you are very kind not to make be angry mess with her.
The FIRST preorder was sent to Bobbi and she shipped from the US. The subsequent “preorders” were to be shipped by LLE and UPS charges were not covered. LLE might not have been clear on how the current pre-orders are handled. Stinks having to pay extra for having it sent from Canada.
Definitely was not clear at that time. Seeing Sunna with no fees on pre-order did not make me think I needed to ask many rounds of pre-orders they were doing. Lesson learned.
She is in stock on LLE’s site and it is clear that fees are to be expected now, so nobody else should have any issues.
I don’t think that anybody understands the tariff refunds or how they work. It’s confusing. It seems that all of the big corporations (like amazon) are being looked out for and the normal people (who don’t have as much disposable income) are left paying them with no refunds.
Like so much that is going on now, if you have lots of money you get lots of breaks than those that don’t. Welcome to Make America Great Again. This should really be Make America Greater Now for those with lots of money. I’ve come back to make clear, I don’t think LLE is greedy or ultimately rich. I was speaking about tariffs in general the ordinary citizen who are being hurt by the tariff.
I’d make sure this really is from UPS. There are so many scams out there that look legitimate. I do know, though, that UPS is charging fees that they didn’t used to. So, check that it’s legit before paying.
I sure don’t understand how the refunds will work. I just hope I get some.
I did get mine with no additional fees. I thought it was for the Sunna kits only. Maybe the first round ones?
It was from UPS. It showed up on my tracking and I had to pay it before they would give me the package.
I only did pre-order two Sunna kits. The website said no additional fees on the pre-order, so I assumed that’s what the deal was. Didn’t know anything about multiple rounds.
Because it is all a big scam to funnel money upwards. The SCOTUS deemed Trump’s tariffs illegal so he just used a different loophole to keep them on while refunding all the money us peasants previously paid back to the corporations. I gotta say as a voting collective we Americans are really stupid people.
I was charged a $35 import fee recently through UPS. I had used Pirate Ship and questioned them about it. I offer free shipping and increase the price to cover the shipping costs but this fee wasn’t disclosed. Pirate Ship got me a refund from UPS. I’m getting to really like Pirate Ship.
Any U.S. Importer of Record that paid IEEPA duties (the ones struck down by the Supreme Court) can file through CBP’s CAPE system. Size does not matter legally. Sole proprietors, LLCs, and small importers qualify if they were the IOR. Larger corporations with detailed documentation and legal resources to handles the refunds may to get theirs sooner than smaller businesses who might struggle in filling out the forms.
So…..MacP’s has been absorbing the tariffs for their buyers and hopefully they can (or already have) apply for the tariff refund.
LLE would be able to do the same, in which case, since she did not absorb tariff costs but passed those costs on to customers……should, in turn, forward those on to each customer who bought from her.
The problem is that there is no way to know if she received a refund or not….just her word on it.
