Thank you so very much!
I got it all over the eye lashes. Jeffreyâs eye are so squinty. I tried to wipe it off⌠I guess we shall see tomorrow:-)
How did it turn out for you? I did glaze, ceramacoat Delta gloss varnish, for the first time the other day and I too got it on my rooted lashes! Ugh⌠looks like she has a cold in one eye now, kinda gunked up where the lashes meet with the eye. Just wondering how yours came out
You can gently pull off some of the gunk. Mine was pretty bad the first time and I thought I had ruined the eyes but they look great! The second time around, I did MUCH better.
I had to pull some, cut some and add some! I think it will go better with a doll with bigger eyes. I might try to glaze before rooting eyelashes next time. Saving them was a lot of work! Does anyone so it that way?? Glaze eyes⌠Then root lashes?
I think the glaze helps to hold them in a bit, although there is glue on the inside. Also the glaze might get in your way when you try to root. Some people heat the head after rooting to seal the holes and you canât do that with the glaze, I think. It might become cloudy. Someone whoâs tried it might come along and give another opinion thoughâŚ
I root lashes and coat them with gel. The second time around, I kept the lashes âgelledâ to the face and it kept them out of the way much better.
Well Amy⌠You know what??? I thought of that⌠AFTER! Hahahahaha I sure
ď¸ reborning!
I did gel them back but I messed up by touching the brush to the eyeball and too close to the rim of the eye where the lashes are rooted. The varnish was so thick it wouldnât drip off the brush without me touching the blob of glaze to the eye. And this stuff dTuesday super quick, and makes it hard for it to spread out. I tried adding a few drops of water but then that gave me air bubbles when I mixed it in a well. So I also had a few bubbles I tried to scoop out bc they were nit popping. She looks OK, not too bad. Sheâs a keeper for my daughter anyways and she loves her to death!
That sounds soooo frustrating!!!
OMG, yes very frustrating! Especially when I had finally rooted my eyelashes just perfect, for the 6th time, finally got the eyes in and glued, which was another frustrating task!
Shandeni, I had to use water that ran thru my coffee maker to get it hot enough and I put it in my insulated coffee cup to keep it hot. The water glue mix doesnât drip off the brush for me, either, but Iâm working on that.
Iâve gotten so many complements on the eyes since Iâve been adding the varnish so itâs worth doing. I really like the look, too.
Once I added a few drops of water it dripped off my paint brush for me, I just used the water right out of my faucet to run my brush under, then I would mix, run it under to get it wet again and mix until I had the amount of water I wanted mixed in with the varnish. The water was cold tho and it mixed fine and dripped off the brush just enough to smooth out once it hit the eye. My problem was before I mixed it with water, I was using it straight and it was so thick and wouldnât even out over the eyes.
And I agree, the eye that I didnât mess up, looks fantastic, I love the look of it!
Maybe I didnât have enough water on the brush. Iâll probably play around with it before my next set of eyes.
I root lashes before I insert the eyes so my answer to your question is ânoâ.
Too funny, Pia. I came up with every reason not to do it except the most obvious,
Oh no!!! I glued in the eyes before rooting! Shoooooot!
I got delirious on one baby and glued the eyes in before rooting. Fortunatley, I was able to gently root the lashes with the eyes in. Hopefully, youll be ble to, as well.
How do u keep the lashes from getting in the eye glaze? I just took my eyes out
after I had glazed them:-( you guys were right about not using the Aleneâs on eyes:-( but it was all I had here⌠So I did. I saw a bubble in one eye, and a hair in the other:-( so⌠I tried to get them out⌠Ruining everything. I removed the eyes, and the lashes. Tomorrow I will buy the cermacoat and try again. What can I use to clean these eyes?
