Here’s a peek a my new craft space!!! It’s still a WIP but mostly complete! As I previously mentioned I had to unfortunately give up my craftroom but I still needed to storage space & workspace to continue to create! I had enough room in my bedroom BUT I didn’t want to clutter it, wanted to keep my organization, not give up anything lol and my keep my vision the same as my craftroom!
Inspired by the dreambox, I came up with this!! It’s a HUGE custom made craft “cabinet” with doors that has wonderful amounts of storage as you can see I still have lots more room on the shelves and even in the drawers. I created a 36” attachable workspace table with foldable legs to easily store away that attaches to the smaller shelves. I highly highly recommend a wardrobe, cabinet, or armoire to anyone who has limited space! Hint hint I recommend the Ikea Pax! Still have some things to add such as lighting but I love it!
Your original room was so beautiful. This is a good idea though. Really nice. I have been looking at dreamboxes for a while now. Really want one, but $$$$$$$$$$ I bet this was way more budget friendly.
WAY cheaper! It didn’t even cost a third! I had ideas to make it close to it but it would have required more space, time, and $$ lol plus to my surprise this was larger than expected.
Did you have to reconfigure all of this yourself? It kind of really does look like a dreambox in there. Had you put some wallpaper on that back wall, I might not have even known.
You are a lifesaver. I have more space in the new place but less dolly space if that even makes sense. I guess Im trying not to take over the new place with all my reborn stuff like before. I have been searching for ways to set things up and this is a great solution.
I hope in the near future you can get that beautifully organized space back. It looked so relaxing and tranquil to be in!! But I must say, that cabinet, wow!! Huge, I’d love to have that!! I have a very small corner of my room! I have containers stored in my closet. I envy both!!
I am in Woodhill (Santa Fe and Coffee Creek) . Have you thought about going to the Kansas Doll Show… Vendor spots are gone (wait list), but it is so fun to see so many artists’ work…
Yes I certainly did There’s different combinations from baskets to drawers to glass shelves that span the entire system. AND EVERYTHING had to be put together or screwed on from the drawers to the shelves to the peg board and etc. Took me days to put it together & have to add a few more things.
Caught this on FB, love it to pieces. If I should have to give up my space, and I have an adult daughter who could return home to finish college so its a real possibility, I would cry but I feel a little better seeing how you made better use of space. Do you have to do all the assembly? Was it difficult? Can I ask what the footprint is?
