Bonnie Brown-Laura Kit- Vinyl

Does anyone else think the vinyl on the Laura kit by LLE is really orange? Compared to her previous kit- which were perfectly neutral- this kit is not easy to neutralize…any suggestions?
I did a blue wash like 3 times and compared to my other kits is still too orange.

I have two and neither one is too orange. Just a little on the peachy side, but not more than others I’ve had that had some peach color in them. I usually add some flesh 08 in with my blue washes to neutralize. If you haven’t done that, maybe give it a try.

I’ll have to pull out one of my older kit and take a photo to compare- maybe I got a dud?

Looking at my Lauras one is slightly more peach than the other but neither are too bad. Hope yours isn’t a dud.

I hope not!! No peach kids :expressionless:

My 2 are a lil orangey to me too. I tried to get the actual color of the kit. It was kinda hard. But this is what they look like. No flash or anything. The left side of the small face section is the color of the kit. As well as the other picture.

Do you mean Bonnie Brown’s Laura kit?

I was wondering the same thing. At first I was thinking what does Laura by LLE look like. And then everyone started talking about Bonnie Brown‘s Laura. So now I wonder if that’s what she meant in the first place or everyone just got confused with Bonnie’s since it was a new release

My Laura kit is very very orange. I have done no layers with yellow tones, and won’t need to, I’ve done so many blue layers and she still looks very yellow/orange.

Yes all the pictures posted are Bonnie Brown’s Laura. I’m confused about whether there is a LLE Laura or she actually meant Bonnie Brown’s Laura.

If we are talking about Bonnie’s I don’t feel like mine was orange. Her vinyl was lovely.

Omg I’m a dope!! Lmao sorry for the confusion- so it seems like some kids are peach year than others mine is really peachy and it’s not really looking so great even with neutralizing :disappointed:

That’s how mine is! I can’t seem to neutralize her- is this a mistake in the vinyl? I love the sculpt but not loving the vinyl…. May strip and sell

Personally I think it is crappy vinyl, mine has some other issues also though. The color is a pain but not unworkable. You just may need to really adjust any image in your head of what skin tone she will end up and be ok with varying results. Mine was so dark orange at first, I can’t even count how many sky blue layers I’ve done, the blue oddly took out the orange but left her bright yellow, I have just done her 16th purple layer! But she still looks very yellow, this picture I don’t feel truly shows how yellow she is, but you can tell especially on her fingers, it’s much more yellow in person. I haven’t done any layers that have any type of yellow in them for fear of making the yellow worse, which really limits the colors I can use and completely eliminates a lot of the colors I usually use. I think it’s the vinyl because when I first started, her flanges were dark orange and now after baking multiple times even her flanges are a lighter bright yellow, you can kind of see the ring on top of her flanges are still there original dark orange. I hate that they pour kits in this color, I’d be happier if they just did straight white.

Hahah this cracked me up, throw out the idea of the color. I have been there more than one time. One of Cassie B. Kits did that to me and I was frustrated.
I am nervous about painting her now :joy:

Mine is also pretty orange. While the vinyl appears to take the paint well, the orange keeps coming back anyway. I am painting with Genesis and to be honest I wish I had used air dry. I have a much easier time with this type of vinyl if I use air dry, but I had already started with GHSP before I realized what I was dealing with.

I think the color is lovely. My own skin tone has some yellow and I just don’t see too much on the doll.
