It has definitely been a labor of love…I wasn’t sure how I was going to get here or if I would even make it here.
Due to ALL of your love, support and encouragement…the beautiful N’veyah has been born. I chose her name because I not only wanted something meaningful (Heaven backwards is Nevaeh), but I also wanted to be able to change the spelling to look more Na’vi like. I hope you enjoy my attempt at trying to do photos…I’m horrible at this part…painting is much easier. lol
Aww…Thank you very much @ShelbyLeigh and @PhotographyForLife! I really appreciate the wonderful compliments! I’m glad you like her name…I think I struggled more with that than the painting lol
She is beautiful! I often don’t like avatar babies that much as sometimes they look like they’re just done quickly to make some easy money. Yours however, wow! You can really tell you spent a lot of time and effort on her, her details are stunning!
I am usually not a fan as well, however I agree! You can tell how much work was put into this, and uniquely done. The hair itself…I personally have never seen a reborn with hair like that, and that makes it so much more unique!
Wow, she is positively beautiful. I am not into alternatives but I think you changed my mind! Is she a keeper? That’s one I wouldn’t be able to let her go.
Aww…Thank you very much @EnchantedOrphanage! That’s why I was SO nervous to make one, because you see top of the line gorgeous ones like @YelenaRey created, but there are a lot more that do looked rushed like there’s no patterns just dots everywhere and the stripes seem like an after thought. I was hoping mine would turn out at least a step above the rush jobs. I guess it kinda helps/hurts that I’m a perfectionist. lol
Thank you very much again @Purplefetish! I haven’t even attempted rooted hair yet, so I was very nervous how this yarn hair was going to turn out. It makes me really happy that you like it and think it’s unique!
Aww…Thank you very much @marleeton! That’s me, changing minds one alternative at a time lol Sorry, couldn’t resist sounding like a cheesy commercial. lol She is definitely a keeper, she was the very first reborn my hubby bought me (only because she was a boo boo baby and affordable…I was happy with her until her paint started fading 5 months later) Thank goodness Hubby pushed me into trying reborning so I could turn her into something more beautiful.
Aww…Thank you very much @chatrat and @Mommy2six! I really appreciate the wonderful compliments!
You did an amazing job and she is beautiful! I am honored that you were inspired by my work
The only slight criticism that you will get from me is for the next one I would recommend to blend transition on the feet and hand from the flue to the human skin more gradually, not in the straight borders (I hope you know what I meant).
She is the long lost twin sister to my Avi
She is a labor of love for sure! And despite contrary to popular belief that alternatives are only created when something went wrong, they are much more work than regular babies, when they are done right. Great job!
Aww…Thank you very much @YelenaRey! I’m honored that you think I did a good job. I totally get what you mean about transitioning the blue to human skin…there needs to be a part where the colors mingle together then fade off into their individual colors. I appreciate all your help and your inspiration…I would never have attempted an Avatar if I hadn’t of seen yours first…especially since you made them with my all time favorite baby…Joseph…I’ve loved that baby ever since I laid eyes on him.
Aww…Thank you very much @Leabelle! I’m really glad you think I did a good job. As amazingly talented as y’all are to say I did good job is beyond anything I could have ever hoped. It would be the equivalent of me making dinner and Gordon Ramsey walks in, eats it, and says he wants the recipe cause it was delicious.
When it comes to making babies, there is just something about alternatives that speak to me. Hopefully everything I’m learning while using all these different colors will play a part in coming together to one day create a beautiful realistic baby.
I love the name you have chosen. A unique name for a unique avatar. I hope to one day create an avatar baby. I have to be comfortable with making realistic baby’s first. I still have a lot to learn but I get great advice from the great people on the forum. I know I go outside the box a lot in my babies. I like to have fun with it. I am so impressed with your work and watching the progress really inspired me. I love your avatar.
Aww…Thank you very much @Evee! I’m really glad you love her name! I’ve always been good at naming things (especially in video games where you have to be extremely creative cause all the good names are taken immediately and I dislike having to add a number in a name). I just know you’ll create a wonderful Avatar and I can’t wait till I get to watch your progress on it. I’m working from the opposite end of you…you want to be comfortable making realistic babies before making your Avatar and my goal is to make an alternative baby out of a different color every time in hopes of understanding how that color works to one day incorporate them all into one realistic baby. With so many of you inspiring me, it’s nice to know I can inspire someone too!
Aww…Thank you very much @AGivensBaby! I’m glad you like her! I really appreciate it! I was just telling @EmOh that out of everything I thought of…clothing choice was completely left out of the equation. lol If I come across any native/tribal outfits, I’ll definitely get her at least one.
