I bought these little fine nail liners and they have a ball tip for making dots. They would be perfect for that kind of work

Wow! Those are SO cool! That would have came in handy when I was doing the dot designs. I’ll definitely have to look into those! Thank you for sharing, cause I didn’t even know those existed.

You can buy a “ball stylus” in the craft stores in the art supplies. They have a ‘ball’ on each end that is a different size and comes in many sizes from very tiny to rather large.

I never knew these were a thing either. “Toll” painting used to just use the handle end of brushes to create dots, but that’s a more folksy, rustic style so I’d expect these metal tools to be much more precise. These could be used for sculpting too!

I used to Tole paint also and I have many ball stylus’s for Dot work but we used the end of our paint brushes all the time too!! Tole painting was a lot of fun, I loved it.

I don’t think I actually Tole painted? Maybe I did? I might have learned a few techniques somewhere along the way. Lol
