Thank you for the series on the Gemini Heat Set Paint Emma, and all the great complements!
This line is still my favorite of the new stuff I have tried. My only complaint is that I wish you would sell 4 oz jars of varnish. It is a lot to have to keep buying those little ones.
On a side note, everyone be sure you don’t get your thinning medium mixed up with your varnish! It looks the same and I grabbed the wrong one and did a head and BOY did it come out shiny!
I just bought abd tried the Gemini thick medium, used it straight out of the jar pounced on for texture on face, really like it.
I need to get some to try. I would like something for texture that is not shiny. Is it?
Not shiny in the least! Super matte!
I need this!
I wish it came in a bigger jar
Me too girl!!!
I swapped out pic for a better one
Every day I log in here hoping to see the Gemini is on sale! LMBO!
1oz!
Yaay!
@bountifulbaby is there any limit to the shelf life on any of these products?
Also, is your solvent any different from artist grade OMS? I ask because I find OMS make my throat burn and my eyes burn badly. I can use Eco-house Extra mild citrus thinner in small amounts along with your Thinner and that works fine for me. Just curious if your solvent was more like the Ecohouse or more like OMS?
I will have to give this a try since I used the last of my genesis on Ellie K…
I am mixing matte and satin and it seems to be doing fairly well…takes more bakes to get it to totally set…which I don’t like.
Hi anjsmiles,
Thankyou for the questions,
There is no shelf life on the paints or varnishes if they are stored in a cool dry place. They are similar to Genesis that way except there is very little oil that separates out if they sit over a long period of time. You can stir them up to revitalize them just the same.
Our supplier tells us that the Solvent is an extra mild, low toxicity OMS. So I would say it is more on the side of Eco House without the other oils added to it.
