Hello ladies and gents.
I just wanted to come and give you all some advice.
I know we are all overwhelmed with the scam sites and feeling like they are hurting us.
But if I could give one piece of advice to all of you. One thing I’ve learned from making reborns for over 15 years.
Don’t haggle.
Don’t lower your price.
Know your worth!
I used to let people haggle. I used to lower my prices after a few weeks if a doll didn’t sell.
But I stopped. And decided to just list them and let them sit.
The last 3 babies I sold. Sold for asking price. No haggling. And the buyers loved them.
Its time to stop letting potential customers run the market for us.

I just hate to see people under selling themselves. These babies take skill and we deserve to be paid what they are worth.

I had a doll sit unsold in my work room for 2 years. TWO years.
My husband refused to let me lower the price on her because he watched me do her hair and insisted I was under selling myself. So she sat in the work room. Unsold.
And then. One morning she sold for full price. To a tv studio.
Its so important to stick to your pricing!

I have definitely started remembering this lately. All to often (even tho my prices are already low) I hear “any less?”“lowest you’ll go” etc
Then the guilt trips on why they need a lower price. I got called the devil two days ago because I wouldn’t take $50 for my Tink because “it was his daughters birthday and he’d have to drive two hours to come pick it up”. Needless to say the answer was NO. So from now on I’ve decided I’m gonna price what I feel right and if they sell, they sell. If they don’t 🤷 guess I’ll have a crib full of babies

They will sell. If your prices are fair they will sell.
Now if you are pricing them at 1000$ then they may not. Lol
But if the price is fair. Just wait it out.
Its been so nice to have people just buy and then leave a happy review. I find the lower prices bring out the complainers.

Oh I definitely think they are priced fairly (hubby says to low, but I feel it’s fair 🤷)
Like for tink I was asking $225 with a box opening
I do this mostly just for something to do but definitely don’t wanna loose money lol

May I ask if your nursery is Art Doll Creations?
Very good advice, however I see horribly painted dolls with inflated prices just because people see same beautifully painted sculpt sold high.
So, I would add, know your level, your artistry before you decide to price your creation.
And if you ask for advice ‘if you are ready to sell’ and people were brave enough to give you the honest answer, don’t be upset about it.

Yes… I see a lot of amazing dolls sold way less then they could be and way more not good( imo) dolls listing for double ( or more) what they should be.

Me? My business name is Fighting Chance dolls. Named after my nephew who passed away. (His name meant Fighting Chance.)
Just for reference. Here is some of my work.

My apologies, I see that you are not on Reborns, so I mistake you for another artist.
