A baby a day?

I don’t want this to be a controversial topic, by no means. I see several artists that seem to be able to reborn a baby a day. I’m seriously curious about how this is done. Painting with partners? Excellent time management? These aren’t poorly done reborns, either. I reborned almost 40 last year and thought that was good. Compared to over 300 that these artists are doing, I’m a sloth. I would love to be able to get to that many so I didn’t have to work outside the home.

I don’t watch any of the reborn YouTube videos. The ones I see are posted on Reborns. com. Not sure if they post on eBay, too. They may be members here since they post mainly BB kits.

They may don’t do anything else . I a single mother of two working overnights also I have school morning times . I cook and clean and so on in the afternoon so it’s impossible .
I guess they just reborn from morning to evening .
I know some people skip baking between layers . I bake after almost each of every second layer and that takes time but I want to make sure every layer is well cured .
And I know some artist claim is as they are own work but in reality the whole family is reborning . Which is isn’t the artists credit

I’ve wondered the same thing!!! I’m lucky to get one or two finished every 3 months!!! It’s crazy how some people seem to just pump them out like little pez candies!

I know! I’m so jealous. I work nights, but start reborning as soon as I get up around 10 in the morning. I varnish before and after painting. This takes a lot of time. I use GHSP. I did notice that one of the artists does, too. I could see air dry taking less time. I’m not so sure I could stand being around the paint and vinyl any longer than the 6 hours a day I reborn.

I saw what you are talking about too and I was wondering how. Lately I’ve been trying to make them as fast as I can manage, and at that it’s about 1 a week.

Varnishing does take a long time as it has to bake and cool multiple times!

If you are making one a week that’s good time! Total dedication!

Also they are very nicely done too if we are talking about the same person. I have been trying very hard too, because I have 5 children and my husband works long hours, they go to 2 different schools, and the youngest just turned one and I have just ran into a lot of dental bills- so this is the only thing I know that I can possibly do for making money from home. But I cannot make more than one a week, that being said- that is me trying my best! So one a day- that is A LOT!!

Thank you- yes I thought That one a week was very fast!

Ugh! I hate dental bills! It is nice to have something you can do to make a little extra money, while being a stay at home mom.

If I could make the profit that the prototypes often get, I wouldn’t have to reborn as much. Those are amazing artists with skills well above my level. They deserve every dime they get.

It usually takes
Me a week to paint and another three or four days to root. And then some kits just don’t seem to come together as good as others .:upside_down_face:

True. Plus, some I don’t enjoy reborning as much as I thought I would and that slows me down.

So true! Some I will drag my feet on! It can be a preemie with thin hair will take me days to do, it all depends on how much I fall in love with the doll! Rooting is my favorite part of reborning.
I’d love to learn how to paint hair too. @cajuncuties I absolutely LOVE your painted hair

Maybe they found the magic formula to get a really nice doll with minimal colors, layers and baking! I wish I knew a faster way. But I just poke along, mixing, pouncing, blending, layers upon layers! I think I bake too much. I’ve been trying to do more layers without baking so much…

Thanks. I feel after 8 years of trying I should be better. Just can’t seem to jump that hurdle I have set for myself.
