My Silicone Darren

I just finished painting silicone Darren and he (actually now a “she”) is just precious! Getting rid of the seams was quite the challenge and it took a really long time to do so but it was so worth it!

How’d you get rid of the seams?

He turned out really cute! Mine is still sitting in its box

I used tiny scissors to cut them off and almost leave a slight ditch. Then I used clear silicone to fill the ditch and smooth it over since there’s no way to get matching silicone. You could kind of still “see” the seams but not feel them. The pigmented silicone used to actually paint the kit completely masked them.

That doesn’t seem too bad, time consuming for sure. Here I was about to take a glass file to mine

It took me all week to get the kit prepped before I could start painting.
