I lost my adult son due to the Iraq war. Sometimes I hold my reborn close so the hair just touches my face and I close my eyes. For a split second it reminds me of what it felt like to hold my son as a baby. Some days I think I see him in a crowd, but then I know it can’t be him. Even though the pain never leaves holding my reborn takes the edge off.
