I post a lot here because I am new and excited and in real life I have no one to to talk to about baby-making, my 16 year old thinks the dolls are creepy, my husband, well he is a guy and finds my new hobby a little disturbing. My art friends are supportive but I think they think I have gone off the deep end but…when they are here they always ask to see and hold the babies I am making (even cool art ladies can’t resist a baby!)
I could really care less what anyone thinks I am having fun.
So todays annoying question is “Toddlers” I kinda wanna make one. I use to know a woman who had one that got when she was seven and kept it her whole life, had this awesome round suitcase with clothes and shoes in it. I loved it.
Is it harder to paint a toddler? they all seem very dolly-like. Anyone have a toddler they like?
I still have two boxes full of BB kits to paint and I can’t wait but…

The hardest thing on those big toddlers is rooting all that hair on those huge heads. lol

I agree with @CarolinaCuties …rooting is the hardest part. Painting is no biggie, just remember that toddlers don’t have as much details.

You should try doing BB Elliot or Easton. They don’t come out too dolly and they are big enough to sit up, and give you an idea of whether you want to do a bigger one. Rooting a big toddler is a formidible task and it takes a chunk of time. I enjoy having one going on in the background while working on other things. I have Tippi Murray and have been working on her for months. I still have to finish rooting her but she is such a cutie. I may keep her for myself. She’s my favorite right now. I also like Katie Marie Timmerman. I had a Katie Marie kit up for sale last week but have decided to keep her.

Thank you so much. I don’t think I am quite ready for a really big rooting job, and I can’t even imagine the cost. I came across a few that were adorable. I do have an Easton, you are right he is huge. Maybe I will give him go when I finish couple more little guys. I would love to see your Tippi WIP.

Tippi looks sort of goofy right now. She has half a head of hair and the wrong eyes… I’ll post something later when I have a better picture to take, LOL. But she’s a cutie.
