Xodus thinning oil

I recieved my thinning oil from McPhearsons the other day and started trying it yesterday. I thinned all my mediums that were dried up and then went online to find out what else you can do with it. Holy Moly! It is amazing to paint with! It only takes a very small amount to work with my Genesis paints and it literally flows on! It is even and never flakey. It will be great to use in the creases. This is the first new product that I have tried since pre-pandemic times. I need to catch up with what is new.

Do you add a drop to your thinner before adding your Genesis paint?

I was painting as usual with my Gamisol and the next day my paint as usual dried up in my little mixing bowl and I was left with a thick mixture. I put a drop or two of Xodus in bowl and started painting and it went on creamy and smoothly. It blended wonderfully. I got online and read about using Xodus in color washes. They recomended 70% Gamisol or whatever medium you use to 30% Xodus. I am about to try this in a minute to see how it works. So far I get no puddling in the creases which were so annoying. As far as I can tell you can use both your Gamisol with the Xodus. There is no wrong way to use it. Just play with it and see what works for you
