WIP Eyebrows

Hello Again Everyone!

So, I have been studying eyebrows and tried to consider everyone’s tips. I still cannot paint them well, but think I will root over what I have painted. I haven’t cured them, because I am still not sure about placement. What do you all think?

P.S. I will be rooting her hair and adding eyelashes. Eyebrows look so weird without eyelashes. Lol

It seems your paint may be a little thick. When I paint brows, I start out very light, almost invisible and slowly add pigment to my paint to add in some darker hairs. But if you take the time to build it up, and keep them light, it will look better and be less harsh while you are still learning. I would not recommend rooting them unless you have a ton of rooting experience. You will regret it more than likely and if you remove it, you will have holes. Hope that helps.

Thank you! I think you are very right. I think I get impatient. I tried to paint them much lighter and felt I couldn’t see them, but layering them makes a lot of sense. I have never rooted anything before, but the videos make it look easy. Haha! Thanks so much for your great advice!

They don’t have to be dark to be pretty! I love dark brows, but some babies look great with barely visible brows. That’s what most real babies have!

Not on the topic, but I didn’t recognized you, Aly!
In Russia, when we see someone whom we know, but didn’t recognize them at once, we say “You will get rich!”. You true artist talent shines through each of your new baby, so I truly wish you will be rewarded for all your work!

@Rebecca55 Now, on eyebrows. I think the placement is much better, but if I would be you I would not root ot top of them if you don’t have any rooting experiences. I personally think rotting eyebrows turns babies in the aging people.

Beautiful!!! I erased the brows I made and mixed up some Brow Blonde. I will do just one thin layer tonight and look at them with a fresh pair of eyes tomorrow.

Thank you! I will get it eventually. I will take your advice on not rooting her eyebrows.

There is no escape from painting eyebrows
We all struggle with that (with exception of @Alypants as she is beautician also  )
So it like you are saying here “suck it up and roll with punches”. Practice (and paint remover) makes it perfect.

I absolutely agree with Yelena, I wouldn’t root eyebrows, I root eyes brows but I also started reborning ten years ago and started rooting in general back then. They’re difficult without an understanding of how eyebrows grow, I would definitely do some research on how eyebrow hairs grow in order to paring them. Also on a side note I cannot paint eyebrows or hair to save my life hence the rooting. Lol.

I will add that you are the only one I’ve ever seen root beautiful eyebrows

Haha thank you! You are so generous with praise and honest critiques! It’s always interesting to hear expressions from other places. I changed it because I feel like I didn’t look very friendly in my other picture

Eyesbrows kicked my butt to the point where I didn’t do them on babies, until I figured out how to root them lol.

You are definateli Wild Meadow Flower Child in that picture. I absolutely love it. And it’s so artistic.

Thank you, Yelena. I will leave it alone for a while :slightly_smiling_face:

I rooted eyebrows once. It WAS NOT pretty and once you do there is no turning back. The vinyl had tons of tiny holes in it. My husband called her Bogdonna

Also study pictures of baby eyebrows they are usually pretty straight across and rarely arched. Any arches etc are expressive = scrunchy faces have furrowed brows, quizzical expressions might have one brows slightly furrowed or raised. You can often see the brow ridge in the sculpt though some are harder to find than others and I’ve noticed the chubbier babies are impossible.
Babies can’t pluck teeeze manicure or groom their brows so they are usually pretty light and carefree.

Yours seem to dip in toward the bridge of her nose. That may be where her brows would start but go more straight across.

I have yet to be happy with brows so I just scribble them on as temp placements because I’m to scared to try :flushed:.

So bravo to you for actually having the guts to go for it :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I’m to chicken :chicken:

You should try rooting brows again eventually! You were so close to doing them well, it’s just gotta be done in a really specific way lol.
