Will rubber have a reaction with vinyl?

Just wondering if I used a rubber pacifier for an open-mouthed reborn, will it have a reaction with the vinyl?

I have only ever heard of it being an issue with silicone but I never used one in the mouth of a reborn. I have 2 of my babies holding a rubber one by the hand ring for about 2 mos now and no issues.
