Maybe your paint is too thick. Usually if you get the chalky effect its the paint, which is too thick. Maybe take a sponge with some thinning liquid and pounce and see if you can get some of it back off. Worth a try. If it’s already baked, you’re in trouble kiddo!! May have to actually strip it.
