So. My aunts mother in law purchased what she thought was a completed baby.
Turns out it was just a kit
I agreed to make the doll for her and she sent me the parts today.
Can anyone tell me who this is? There are only numbers on the back of the neck and the parts are sort of rubber feeling and shiney.
Any help would be great.
This is a China kit, but I don’t believe it’s a copy. I have one but it’s not painted yet. I think it’s a cute sculpt.

Hmmmmmm. How do i find the eye and body size for it? Lol.
Does the shine on limbs affect the ability to use genesis on it?
I have never painted one before.
I don’t know who this is, but the shine shouldn’t be a problem. My Maia kit had a really shiny and slick feeling arm, but once I washed her in hot soapy water it was basically gone. Now 3/4 done painting it isn’t noticeable at all and the paint sticks just fine. I also use GHSP

I’ve always used air dry paints so I don’t know how it would be with Genesis. I can’t remember who, but somebody on the forum has done this kit and could probably help.

It’s Linda Murray’s Krista. But it’s most likely a Chinese copy as those are very common.

I’m pretty sure it’s not Krista. The area around the eyes is very different. The mouth is similar but not the same.

I think she takes 20 mm eyes. I have a supply of eyes and try them until I find the ones that look the best to me. I won’t be at home until the middle of next week. I can try some eyes and bodies and get back to you with sizes.

I’ve seen that kit sold by AliExpress as Krista and they use her prototype pictures too.
I’ve tried looking for blanks of the original kit to better compare, but all that shows up are the Chinese ones.

She reminds me of Luca too…
The limbs and lips look a bit different than the Linda Murray kit

Its bugging me because i dont know how well this will paint if its a knockoff. But i guess i can try it and hope it works.
I would appriciate that a lot.

I couldn’t find her on Ali Express but there are two on eBay. One is being advertised as Arianna by Reva-definitely not Arianna.
If you wash it well and seal it before painting, I think it will be fine.

Can do. A good wash and a thin layer of matte varnish.
They do switch limbs around, but you’re right. The mouth is a bit different. I always assumed it was Krista.
She does look like a Linda Murray kit, though.

Looks like a Ping Lau head with different limbs.

I have this kit. It’s a China kit and those are the limbs that come with it. The vinyl is soft and easy to work with.
