Where do your reborns sleep?

Pretty!

I keep my babies in a Moses basket in my living room. I have a beautiful cradle I’ll sometimes have a doll in but I try not to because I don’t want my dogs to declare it their new toy. I also have a rock and play and a pack and play in my bedroom to store for sale babies in.

Cuddle baby Grayson Acello.

I’m looking online for new Moses baskets, never owned one before. Frustrating trying to find the measurements on most.

Also, they sometimes say they shouldn’t be moved by the handles with a baby inside. I get that for a human baby, but for a reborn or two weighing ten pounds total when the thing is rated for 15? Maybe the handles could be reinforced?

I’d like Dad to easily move reborns for Mom. Mom uses a walker with a tray.

Anyone with more experience with these? Flexible versus firm?

Liking the storage container beds too, but wanting something more eye level and frou frou for Mom’s fem tastes.

A little overwhelmed. :no_mouth:

I’m personally going to get one of these to go ontop of my steamer trunk that’s beside my bed which I use for storing personal collection baby clothes Fisher-price On The Go Baby Dome Playard - Gray : Target it might be a good option because it folds up small? Also targets bassinet section can be helpful because you could pick one and then find it used, I also like the closing dome to protect my babes from cat hair

I think a wicker basket lined with a blanket would be a good idea. Moses baskets are pretty big, or at least mine is

Do you think two Evers might be able to snuggle in one? Not sure yet how wide their bodies will be.
Wish I could find one with practical storage on the bottom, like a changing table style, that was soft and portable, with the bassinet part being soft and removable with handles.
I’m probably being ridiculous. I don’t see any made this way.

In a Moses basket? Definitely. I’m at work right now but when I get home I’ll take a pic of mine. I have 7 babies sitting in it right now. :joy: Laying them down you could do three comfortably.

As far as wicker baskets they come in all kinds of sizes you could definitely find one that would fit two babies.

Ever is a small almost preemie sized baby! two would absolutely fit in a lot of things!

That’s good news, even a small area for reborns to sleep and have clothes storage will seem to take up a big footprint in my parents’ small house.🤦

I like the way she’s surrounded by sentimental things for you. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yep my moses basket has a bunch of clothes and blankets in it. Then I have a blanket on top of that and then the babies resting on that. Good storage solution.

It’s a play on the meanings of ladybugs and bumblebees for me. I found them in the supermarket of all places!!!

Wicker might not be the best since it has the spiky pieces of wood sticking out. Even with a blanket lining it, I wouldn’t want to take a chance.

I guess mine are all smooth willow baskets. Never noticed any spikey bits.

My bed at home has drawers underneath for storage (which were very useful when I was younger and had a million stuffed animals). Now I have a few lined baskets tucked there, with a couple babies in each. My bigger dolls, especially the expensive silicones, are in plastic storage bins in my closet with the spare baby clothes. I sometimes feel weird “storing” them like that, but since they’re more expensive, I usually handle them less anyway :slightly_smiling_face:

Mine sleep in a car seat but I don’t have a huge collection. Just 3 dolls

In my opinion – I think the baskets make great Moses beds for dolls. I have also seen a way to make them for real babies. I like the idea of using them. They are versatile. I do have a couple of strollers in the shed that I could bring in and use. But, I don’t want to put too much clutter in my house. I am still trying to get rid of clutter! My babies sleep on the sofa, and at Christmas they were on the fireplace hearth. It is pretty wide so there was plenty of room. I don’t have just a whole lot made. I guess I will figure out places for the rest when the time comes.

I’m always trying to get rid of clutter but it keeps sneaking back in when I’m not looking. I hate that. lol
