Where do you guys keep the dolls you decide not to part with? I have two in a curio cabinet, my old porcelain dolls from my childhood are on shelves, and I have a baby car-seat with one of my dolls. We have just moved so I’m still getting things situated.
We have a flea market here and I keep finding old baby cradles and old stuff like that that seems like it was built by hand. I’m considering buying a few and re-purposing them and making bedding and blankets and pillows for them. I just know nothing about fixing up old cradles but I still think I might give it a try.
The car-seat I have was a flea market find. I just really like the idea of using an old antique baby bed/cradle decked out in lace for one or more of my dolls.
I’ll share some photos of my dolls after I get them all into their new spots.
That would be a great idea I have been wanting a cradle I know allot have them. Mine are just in my sanctuary ( that what my family calls my baby room) on shelves.
I have two dolls at the moment and I keep them in a gorgeous bassinet. But it takes up a lot of room and I have a new baby on the way (bassinet can only fit 1-2 babies at most) so I was thinking about offering it up on here and switching to a more simple storage. I saw someone on IG who turned these on it’s side (so open top is facing out) and stacked them on top of each other to make little ‘apartments’ for their babies. Man. I’m a terrible explainer. Wish I could find the pic lol.
But I’ve seen this kind too a handful of times also
While I’m considering it for a special doll the rest can live on the shelf LOL I do have two girls though who collect dolls so if I don’t watch out we’ll all end up with a baby bed
I keep mine in my bedroom on a shelf up high, and on a changing table… I have a shelf just line that Izzy! I never thought to put babies in there. Hmmmm
Ikea has some units like this that are larger. I think if the complete babies fit in the canvas bins then it would make it easy to store the kits in the bins as well, then the complete baby until sold.
hmmm, now how to child proof it… lol
I was going to get rid of/throw out my youngest’s infant carrier, then realized that I could use it for a prop seems how the car seat is past the expiration date. I also have her old bassinet. I was saving it in case my sister-in-law needed it. She is due in Feb. but she has one already so now I can use it for dolls also. It is plain white so is good for both genders. the car seat is also neutral.
Dang I love that, I have a cradle like the first pic a bassinet and a pack n play, I also have one of the round bassinet and a crib but I haven’t set them up yet, the boxes would save a lot of room.
Would love something like this…but no place for it…mine are in 2 Moses baskets all sitting up…!!
Have way too many baby related pieces of furniture including a lovely regular size crib that I want to keep, plus 2 mini wood cribs, 2 bassinetts and 5 Moses baskets…see what I mean…??..hubby goes out and comes back with all this stuff…all except the child’s crib that I arranged for my daughter to go and get then bring up to us…we have an extra bedroom but the furbabies have it…can’t take it from them…so most of this stuff is in our bedroom…but have 3 Moses baskets stacked in one of the small wooden cribs…!!..
