What Wedge Sponges?

What brand wedge sponges do you use? My Walmart changed the ones I used and now they are awful. So i went to target and they don’t pick up the paint, I’m lost now, which ones do you use?

I bought mine at MacPherson craft. They are just right and firm. They have small or large.
I also use cheap ones at my dollar store.

I got mine at the dollar store. But they don’t carry them anymore :frowning:

I get mine at dollar tree. They’re in the make up section.

Someone here on the forum (I don’t remember who…sorry!) recommended these and they’re awesome. Nice and firm, not crumbly at all.

I also like “beauty blenders”

I got both on Amazon.

I just brought some tonight from cvs. I’ve used them before.

I bought some of those, still have them and they expand in water. I have some firm ones I got from Walmart in GA but can not find them here in NC. Beauty blenders are much better.

I also use beauty blenders. The regular wedges expand too much and are too porous for my taste.

You all know that BB sells the equest sponges now.

I have some sample but have not tried them yet.

It seems the wedges have changed everywhere. I have purchased them from Walmart, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Sally beauty supply, cvs, Kroger and rite aid. It seems they all are either aloe infused or too porous now. Wedges used to last me forever. Now I generally only use them once or twice before I toss them. I don’t use them at all for mottling now because the swell up so bad. I use the equest sponges. I also have some beauty blenders that I have cut in half and plucked out for mottling.

I guess it depends what paints you are using also. The last time i bought mine at Sally’sBeauty supply and there was a sale buy 2 bags get one free. I use air dry so these are perfect for that. Some of them have vitamin E infused, i would try to stay away from those, however i’m not sure if that would make a difference. Equest sponges are wonderful.

I tried to pluck and use a beauty blender and it swelled up a lot for me! Walgreen’s Studio 35 Professional Size in an 8 pack are the most dense that I have found! Probably discontinued by now? I don’t find that the vitamin E makes any difference at all.
