I just finished my Lucrecia Blick and want to root her lashes. I’m a little confused whether to use a 40g crown 3 barb needle…a 42g single barb or a 43g single barb. What size do you ladies use or recommend? Thanks in advance!!
My suggestion would be the 43g single, it is a smaller hole and easier to get 1 hair a time in.
I root hair with a 43G single barb but found that can be frustrating when rooting lashes. For that, I use a 43G crown needle.
I use a crown for lashes also, it can mess up the eyelid trying with a single barb and not catching a hair over and over I know this from experience I tore my first one up trying a single barb lol.
OK I just finished rooting and trimming Lucrecia Blicks lashes and I glued the inside of her head. Her are a few pix of her with her eyelashes. Tomorrow I’ll put her head on her body and she’ll be finished!! I’m so excited. Please let me know what you think of her lashes. Do you think they’re too long. I was afraid to cut them any shorter for fear I’d cut them too short and ruin them. Thanks for all the suggestions on which needle to use.
I ended up using a 40g 3 barb crown needle.
Looks great but I would definitely go a bit shorter.
Great job @JackieJo, I would trim them shorter too though. I cut my lashes straight across using the crease under the eye as a guide and then take a small pair of scissors and slowly and carefully cut into the eyelashes leaving the inside and ends a bit longer, but if I remember before gluing I cut them to about the length I want them and then take tweezers and pull every other hair or so out a tiny bit so they don’t have that straight across cut look.
I use a 43 single barb for the eyelashes. You did a great job with the lashes, but I agree with @AmyR777, try a little shorter.
@anon72659292 Thats what I ended up doing and I found it worked out beautifully!! Thank you!!
@otterbaby2 @shandeni @AmyR777 Thanks so much for letting me know to shorten the lashes a bit more. I did and it came out looking much better! Will post pix of Lucrecia when the glue inside the head dries and attach her to her body!!
@GrammysReborns @AmyR777 @AmandasBabies I really appreciate you sharing the needle size that you use to root lashes. I ended up using a 40g 3barb crown needle and it worked really well. I was very happy with the results but will use a smaller single barb on my open eye babies.
What an awesome and helpful group of ladies in this forum!! Thank you for all of your help! Love you all!!
Great job she is so cute! Can’t wait to see her all put together
I just finished putting Lucrecia Blick together. Here are a “few pix”. I had to use my flash because its a drab rainy day here so she appears to look shinier in her photo shoot then she really is. I did trim her lashes last night after I had posted pictures of them but looking at the photo’s today I think I should trim and reshape them a bit more…what do you think? Enjoy!!
She’s a little city pie @JackieJo I love her.
Thank you so much. I’m really happy with the way she came out. She’s not perfect but I love her anyway!!
She’s so cute in her bassinet.
OMGoodness @JackieJo your Lucrecia is beautiful!!! I love her coloring and her adorable hair!!! I just adore her!
