What? Reborns Verification?

From what I read online he will get back up and running in a few days. He is adding new safeguards and measures to combat the new threats.

Is he posting somewhere?? I wondered how he was going to get information out to all his subscribers.

This morning ~

RebornsTemporarily offline

We’re sorry — we’ve taken our site offline to keep you safe.

We recently discovered that our systems were compromised in a security incident linked to a new wave of AI-driven attacks. As a precaution, we’ve taken the site offline while we investigate, secure our servers, and restore service safely. We expect to be back within the next few days.

Our apology

We know how much you rely on us, and we’re truly sorry for the disruption this causes. Protecting your trust and your information is our highest priority, and we’d rather stay offline a little longer than return before everything is fully secure. Thank you for your patience while we work around the clock to set things right.

Paying members

You won’t lose a thing. Every active paid membership will be extended to fully cover the time we’re offline — no action is needed on your part.

Orders in progress

If you have an order waiting to be completed, you don’t have to wait for us. You may be able to reach your buyer or seller directly:

  • Check earlier emails from us — order confirmations and notifications often include the other party’s contact details.
  • Look in your PayPal transaction history, which typically shows the name and email of the person you transacted with.

Where possible, feel free to arrange completion directly until we’re back online.

Please stay alert

Scammers often take advantage of incidents like this one. While we’re offline:

  • We will never email you asking for your password, card details, or a payment to “restore” your account.
  • Before sending money or goods, confirm you’re dealing with the same person from your original order.
  • If you reused your password from our site anywhere else, we recommend changing it there now.

We’ll share an update here as soon as we’re back. Thank you for standing with us.

I talked to my husband who is a programmer, and he said that it’s not just Reborns,
Sites that uses old PHP code are all vulnerable now.
His IT department was notified last week and solution was just apply newest PHP patches.
Modern programmers switched to JAVA long time ago, but old sites still using PHP.

I get the same thing no way to get in. Scary mess for Dave.

Can you ask your husband why would Dave still be using the old PHP code? Is it cheaper for him?

@Gabriell here’s more info :pink_heart:

Soooo….I asked grok about the hack and said it was for reborns.com, asked for a ballpark on how much to fix everything. This is what came up.

I was checking email earlier and got the same email. I thought it was supposed to be a choice. Some of us had a feeling he would eventually make it mandatory. I’m not doing it. I don’t have a paid membership right now, either, and can’t see the discussion board.

And this shows the EXACT reason why he should not be asking us to do anything like this. Everything is getting hacked. Several AI developers have quit their high positions recently and are warning that AI is now out of control and becoming a huge national security risk. It’s nothing to play around with. It’s scary. Several medical companies I’ve had to deal with the past year have sent me letters to let me know their systems have been hacked. One was the big hospital in my town.

Just went to the site and there is this:

Hmmmmm. It looks bad.

I posted above what the ballpark estimate would be for him to get the site back up and running.

This morning I was wondering what the cost would have been for him to go ahead and apply the php patch (see @YelenaRey ) post.

This is what I found:

I hope Dave can get it back up and running but he is just one guy and AI is many with the ability to attack 24/7. Plus Dave can’t know everything and they may be able to out maneuver him?

There are articles about the military planning for large scale global domain attacks and whistleblowers on Twitter say AI is attacking our energy grid hard. I read an article a couple days ago about how Iran is threatening to cut under sea cables if we attack them again so none of this looks very good and is just scary all around.

@InfantInspirations I agree with you about the verification thing. Should have never been done. When I got the spam email I thought he was making the verification process mandatory. Thank goodness I didn’t click on it.

Instead of the stupid bargain bin he insisted upon, he should have been working to protect the site better.

My thoughts, exactly. AI hacking was a matter of time. There have been reports warning about it. I hope this also makes him reconsider the very-high security risk for his “verification” system he has been wanting.

From what I read it is not just his sites… it is a large scale attack on sites like his and his just happened to get hit too.
Nothing he did or didnt do.

But I could be wrong…
