Wedge plucking question

Hi there everyone! Happy almost Easter! I usually use tack sponges and kitchen sponges for my mottling and texture layers. I have seen some plucked wedges where people have plucked shapes using tweezers. Using the tweezers, I always wondered how people plucked those shapes. Here’s an example of what I mean:
(Not my picture. Found on google.)

Is it hard to pluck shapes?
Thanks,
Julie

No, it is easy. You can pluck it so that there are random holes on your wedge or you can do a reversed version where you pluck out trenches so to speak so that there are raised up textures that make the pattern. There are actually some of both shown in that photo.

Not connect those dots with more plucking and you will have trenches.
