I Know you girls have done it here or there, I am hoping someone can tell me a bit of advice on this. I sooo wouldnt want to wreck a kit by doing it but want to try. I saw the rosebud one, that was very nice.
Okay i think maybe i will just take a good look and see if it is possible
I opened Kyle’s eyes…they are not perfectly even, but they look fine when he’s done. I never took real pics, since he sold as soon as he was finished! A lady bought him when I took him to Carter’s to find him an outfit LOL
This is Scott, a forever baby of mine. I only had to open one of his eyes! As long as the sculpt has a well-defined eye socket and brow ridge, you can do it…
Hugs, Barb
the lady who did the twin rosebuds said she opened the eye, took pieces of vinyl from the neck, glued them in and painted the eyes on that piece of vinyl. sounded too hard to me.
Barbara’s babies are awesome. She has given them each tremendous gifts of personality. Scotty in particular is a real love bug! She does amazing things with the vinyl Lot’s of courage there!
hugs
joy

all I can say is really look at the face, I really mean it. I opened the eyes on my kyle kit, my third reborn and he was so weird looking because his eye sockets are actually weird where one is higher and he looked like a scary alien.

Tiffany, I don’t know if you were trying to be funny but you had me giggling. It’s 1:00AM, so maybe I am alittle slap happy right now. Anyway, thanks for the laugh.
Wow barb those are beautiful!!! Hold them on with a flap made of felt and stuff with cotton to hold while they set is my idea
Yep, Katie, the eyes are glued in with cotton material over the back…it’s a pain to get the eyes in place, but eventually it works…it also helps to smooth out the cut vinyl with polymer clay to make the top and bottom eyelids look better.

Thank you so much for the tip. when can I put the clay on?
After it’s been cut, but before you glue the eyes in…
Aww Rose that’s too bad…I would have glues the eyes in for you!! Yes, Ember looks awesome with open eyes! I gave mine to an elderly friend of my mom’s…eyes are holding in just fine last I heard!
And thank you for your compliment Joy, I so appreciate it it…Scotty sends out love to his Auntie Joy!!
