Waiting to find a test...(warning: covid talk)

I will pray for everyone. I went into a dollar general yesterday after seeing my medical oncologist. I have to take 2000 mg of vitamin D and 1200 mg of calcium a day because I take Arimidex. I needed to get my vitamins. The sign on the door said there temporary closing hours are 4 pm due to staff illness. I have had both vaccines and my booster. I hope I do not get COVID.

My son in prison has had COVID twice now. He has had both vaccines. He was very sick. He is better now. The prison quarantined him and other inmates over the holidays in a section of the prison they closed. These inmates all sick and had barely to no heat over the holidays. I called the Director’s office and explained the situation. They are human beings too. The Director’s office took care of the situation. I called and thanked them the next day.

My son. a Marine veteran defended himself from an unlawful entry of his home ( a fist punched through a locked patio door at the door handle). The witnesses said it was an accidental hard knock. I guess everyone knocks next to the door handle with glass three to four feet inside his house. Three men restrained and beat my son. They broke his right shoulder. The witness that called 911 said my son was in fear for his life. A state with a Castle Doctrine and a multiple assailants jury charge that wasn’t given by my son’s defense team. Now we are fighting the justice system.

Sorry to ramble on, but we many in prison that are wrongfully convicted. Inmates and prison staff can’t get away from COVID.

I am praying for our world.

Covid is really awful, if you don’t die from it, you have long term after effects from it and complications (ranging from annoying one like phantosmia to life changing and debilitating ones like organ damages). Some are lucky and recover fully without any after effect but thats not the majority.

There’s also a very high chance of complications from it later in life (like shingles for to the chicken pox) but we dont know much about it yet. A high percentage of covid patient become cardiac patient after (even the young and fully healthy). This is no normal flu like some people seems to think.

And a lot of “young and healthy” have after effects, maybe even as much as the “high risks” so people need to stop saying its not dangerous if youre not high risk. Yes you may be less likely to die but theres still an high chance of dangerous (and annoying) aftereffects and for a lot of them we are only starting to see them. Its not right away.

I wish for everyone here who have it or had it to be the exceptions and not keep aftereffects or at least not much.

Thank you for the information. There is so much I don’t know about COVID.

That is wild. The whole sense of smell thing. I woke up this morning and I know this is TMI, but you know how you know you need to brush your teeth when you wake up (well I do, I am a super sniffer and I HATE morning breath, most especially my own). I didn’t have that this morning. No taste in my mouth at all. I panicked. Then I walked past the garbage can (that my son didn’t take out after asking him to three times) and it was plenty ripe. I did have breakfast this morning and it was fine but not amazing, I burned the toast and it didn’t taste burned, the jelly was sweet but didn’t taste like raspberries it was just sweet.

I hope I am just being crazy and over doing it with myself. I am a little bored.

I am so sorry you got hit so hard. I hope all the fall out goes away soon.

First I want to extend all the mother love I have, this must feel awful having him there when he shouldn’t be and knowing he is sick, and keeps getting sick.

If he is a Marine he is strong and fit, hopefully that is helping him recover. Marines are made out of tough stuff, have them in my friend group and family, it takes a little extra to be one, it’s not just physical it’s internal. JMO.

Stay strong mama, these are hard times and you have all this worry too.

Lots of healing prayers for you son, and I hope this thing gets figured out in the most fair way possible.

If someone knocks on any entrance to my house hard enough to break glass I would most likely go a little apesh#% to protect my family. Who goes banging on someones back patio glass door? That is a friends and family door, did he know him? Did this ■■■■■■■ not have a phone to say, “Hey I am at your back door buddy, can you let me in” Was this guy having some kind of medical emergency that he needed to pound that hard? Geez, five times a year some kid playing in my backyard runs into my glass slider (ignoring all the stickers on it to let them know its closed) and it doesn’t break (thank goddess) Who were the three other guys and where the hell did they come from?

I am kinda get all worked up about this. I am not a fan of guns, or some definitions of stand your ground laws. I do think that if anyone is trying to gain unlawful entry into your home, you don’t know them, you warn them, you call 911 assuming you have time, and there is no reason that you can think of that they would be beating down your door or coming through your window you have a right to do what ya gotta do. (I am pretty liberal but this is a line I draw).

I had a high school friend whose husband spent 5 years in Prison for shooting a home invader. The guy pulled out a window screen and pushed the window open enough to get in to their bedroom. Kids were in their rooms, but the baby was in their bed. I don’t know what this guy thought he was doing, what his plan was but my friends husband had a hand gun, heard the guy, grabbed the gun and shot. He did aim, just shot, he was frightened (they didn’t live in the best neighborhood but it was summer, hot, and they didn’t have A/C).

He didn’t know the guy, didn’t mean to kill him, it was dark, he was just afraid of anyone who would break in knowing people where home, and come in through a bedroom window where he could see people sleeping.

I don’t know what all the details were, it was one of those things I heard about through a mutual friend who I also went to high school with.

That baby that was in the bed just graduated from college.

I really hope this is figured out. So sorry.

Update. Had a rough night, hot and cold, terrible headache and my hips feel like I got hit by a car but…I feel fine otherwise. I still have an ugly pink eye situation but even that doesn’t hurt today it just looks like that kid with cooties in 4th grade that no one wanted to share a microscope with. I have no runny nose, just a lingering headache today.

No tests to be found and I DO NOT want to go to the doctors office or pay 245.oo for a zoom visit so I am going to assume I have it and keep my pink eye and sore booty home for a week. I will keep looking for a test. I am going to call the vaccine clinic and see if they can covid test me before my shot. Someone told me if you had symptoms or tested positive in the last 14 days no vaccine for you.

I’m so sorry about this injustice done against your son. Praying he will be rightfully released. It’s not right that criminals get off and those they harm are the ones who are punished. There are many falsely accused and innocence in prisons, for sure.

I know it is hard to stay positive. Let’s keep counting our blessings, keep prayers going and live in love. This all has been so hard for all of us and harder for others. I do love you all! Continue to be true to yourselves. We will make it. :purple_heart:

Praying for healing for you. Praying your family doesn’t get sick.

My son had a party at his home. He told the people party is over time to go home. They did not want to leave. My son told them to leave. When the group went out on the patio to smoke, my son locked the patio door and turned off the lights and went to his bedroom to go to bed. A purse and jacket were left inside. The group tried texting and calling my son. He didn’t respond. He was going to give their belongs to them the next day or when everyone was sober. He was tired and didn’t want to deal with it right then. A guy came to pick up his sister. My son didn’t remember being introduced earlier to this man. This man’s sister testified they didn’t know if my son had passed out. This man decided to break the glass so friends could get their things. This was testified by one of the men at the party. The man punched his fist through the glass at the door handle trying to unlock the door. My son heard the glass break. He went to the door with a legally registered firearm and told the man to get back. My son put his gun behind a speaker next to the patio door to hide it. He opened the door to get the man off his property (military training use the least amount of force necessary). The guy grabbed my son and pushed him back inside the house leaving blood drops from the gash on his hand from punching his hand through the glass door. Blood drops over to my son’s couch and on the floor next to the speaker by the patio door. My son pushed the man out to the driveway evidence by the blood drops. My son and this man had an altercation. Two men at the party, grabbed my son pushed him up against the brick wall of his patio so hard it broke my son’s right shoulder. The three men restrained and beat my son in the head. My son managed to get away. He ran back inside grabbed the gun turned and the man that broke the door glass was right there. My son fired one shot in a defensive position from inside his home at the man that kept pursuing him. The man was high on Meth, over the legal limit of alcohol and had marijuana in his system (We learned this during trial). The sister called 911 and said it was a misunderstanding my son was in fear for his life. The 911 operator asked her where was the shooter. She told her the shooter was standing next to her he was calm. The 911 operator told her to start CPR. She said my son was giving him CPR.

During trial the DA said my son was in a blind rage over the broken door. The 911 call contradicts that. If my son were in a blind rage, he would have fired more than one shot. My son did not get his gun until three men beat him. It was straight up self defense IMO. My son was made out to be a monster. The DA biased the jury. The DA said my son committed theft because he would not let them get their belongings. My son was going to give their belongings to them. My son made $33 an hour. The purse had nothing of value in it and was still on the counter wide open. He didn’t want that jacket either.

We never had a firearm in our home. I don’t like guns. My son didn’t do drugs. My son lifted weights because he was a physical therapy assistant. They searched my son’s home and truck trying to find drugs. All that was found was ibuprofen prescribed by the VA. My son was sentenced to 50 years. My son has no criminal history.

The trial was a joke. Please tell your Marine friends not to defend themselves even in their homes. It will be turned against them in whatever they want to use against you.

I cry for the man that lost his life and his family. I think of them and pray for them. My son and I have great remorse for the man and his family. The DA made fun of my son when he testified on the stand. The poor whimpering soul is what the DA said to make it appear my son’s remorse was fake.

Sorry for the long detail. I do not want to offend anyone. I apologize if I do by telling this. My son and I feel for the family and their pain.

Miscarriage of justice. Can he appeal?

I get so upset, disgusted when I hear these stories about sleazy evil attorneys. Seems they just want to chalk up another win with no respect for the folks they are hurting. Have you and your son tried to connect with the groups that will listen to these type of horrible sentences and look into the trial to get your son freedom? I will think of you and your son with love and justice and pray for a speedy positive outlook. I wonder if there is any negative research you could dig up about the prosecutor, maybe this is a pattern.

I wonder if these kind of attorneys would be criminals themselves if they could get away with it. I took a class on personality disorders, and the teacher said among the top 5 careers that high-functioning sociopaths choose, that of attorney is one of them. Makes sense to me.

People have to use precautions especially if you are vaccinated and never had covid. I just admitted 4 people in one night with covid and all fully vaccinated. Please do not count on the vaccine alone. Common sense is needed also. And do NOT use nebulized hydrogen peroxide. It is not safe. Social distance when out. Hand hygiene. Cover your cough. Don’t touch your face. There are many upper respiratory virus active right now. The home covid tests have false negatives. But other viruses are just as deadly. Human metopneumo virus has been rampant and hospitalized very young children. The parainfluenza viruses are deadly for those with underlying respiratory issues. One of the places I worked at had a test that checked for 21 different viruses including 3 coronaviruses. That is how we knew for sure what people had wish all places had these tests.

Also @PenelopesRebornDolls. We have lost every appeal so far. His case is in federal court now. It seems to me the courts just agree with the State. I have contacted Innocence Projects and they only take DNA cases. I have tried all the resources I can find to no avail.

I did have a reporter contact me and wanted to interview me about COVID behind bars. He contacted me became I commented on an article about COVID in prisons. I told the reporter my son could suffer retaliation and his case was in Federal Court currently.

All I have left is our prayers will be answered for his release or a new trial.

This is a terrible injustice. Will pray for his case to be heard by an equitable judge and that the mouths of the attorneys who are corrupt like this will shut like the lions mouths when Daniel was in the lions den.

Do you have a link to the information showing that nebulized food grade hydrogen peroxide is not safe?

Are you referring to using it by itself, as in not diluted with normal saline? Two doctors I have followed for years have a formula they use for it and use it in their practices without any issues. There is also research showing that it is beneficial. Myself and others I know have used it when necessary and it clears up our respiratory crud. The peroxide must be diluted (to 3% or less) with saline and not just regular sterile water.
