I think the 3.5% is included in the 6.5%, because I don’t see that anywhere. There’s an other fee for the payment (Etsy payment) that vary depending on your country. PayPal fees is apart. The 0,20$ for listing is in usd. I just have it in french.

Sorry to keep asking questions about this, but I’m still kinda confused after starting a draft. Where do you find the template to purchase on eBay? I don’t see an option (I’m using the app on my phone if that makes a difference)
Goodness…I have looked and can’t find any template designs on eBay OR Etsy…

Honestly, my head is spinning with all these changes and more changes to come 
I’m trying to find legit sites on FB where I can add links to my listings. I have a business page but it doesn’t do a whole lot ~ doubt I’ve ever gotten a sale from there.

Ya it’s a lot. I have a feeling it’s going to circle back around to having the three sections like it was before Christmas only with the simplified menu. Which will be a good thing. Then people need to stop complaining so he quits wanting to make changes all the time.

Raised the price to $29.99 and included 10 credits. Then did away with free credits and went back to charging $10, but kept the price increase and now suggesting the exact same thing for another $10 like we just didn’t go through all of this!!! 
Also notice how he says including the credits is just forcing people to buy credits but days ago he was pitching it as value for our money.

Thanks for posting some of the forum conversations. I’m not a paid member right now and I’m glad I’m not. The roller coaster of changes is ridiculous.
If it gives anyone hope. I just sold a doll through Facebook.

They did recently raise their fees, my last baby on Etsy sold for $1400 fees were $188. it’s supposed to be 10% now, I’m pretty sure, but I swear their payout amounts NEVER match what they tell you the fees are, I’m always missing $50-$100. I try not to list there anymore unless I really need to.

He has also mentioned raising the cost to feature a doll to 2 or more credits ~ I just can’t keep up with it all, it’s like he’s thinking out loud and it’s making me crazy How 'bout sticking with a plan, ANY plan, for a month or so and see how it’s working before throwing more changes in the mix? Geez. AND…at least do a poll and get a majority vote first!

I used to sell on Ebay. Had the template and everything. Now that China has taken it over with their fake crap it is impossible. The last few times I tried listing there. I got no views or 1 or 2. The exposure is hard to gain unless you already have a good following and I don’t there any more since I have not sold there in years. Etsy is just as bad now days. The fees on both are more. So for all the complaining about Dave and reborns, it is still the best option I have seen. I have always had to self advertise there but at least it is a platform I can direct people to be able to purchase without waiting on me to respond right away to a FB message. Also, keep in mind if you sell on Ebay or Etsy you are going to have to pay their sales taxes, because they have a physical presence in all the states. Selling privately, I only have to pay sales tax in my state where I have an actual physical presence.

I did manage to get 3 favorites and a message in the last 2 months while being an unpaid member on reborns….so it is possible, just takes forever 
I don’t want to go back to eBay. I got to where I really hated selling there, but I’m truly disappointed by what’s going on with reborns . com. It’s not about it still being the last best option, to me seeing how greedy Dave has gotten is rubbing me the wrong way. I mean, I give him credit for being smart and thinking of it first, but he’s still managing to make big bucks off of a lot of people that just wish to keep doing what they love without too many fingers in the pie.

I am glad I am on the free nursery since 2022.
And does he realize that traffic comes from the majority of the artists? I still check Reborns almost every day because I like the Pre-owned section - you can find real gems there, or I look there just for the references to see how other artists painted particular sculpt.
All that he did benefits only 3-5 artists who post a doll a day, which is absolutely impossible if you are the sole artist and don’t have people who are working for you.

Hopefully things are about to get better. I had a feeling there was no point in canceling my membership even though the new set up wasn’t going to work for me. I figured it wouldn’t be long before there were more changes.

Yea I saw that.
I just got finished reading the messages about IP addresses showing up in private messages now. Not sure I care for that. I don’t have any idea how to use it to see if someone is a potential scammer. I mean the lookup will show you where they are but not sure how that helps unless you want to make sure they are in the US.
