I swear drives me crazy… I was going through putting in kit order tonight… had things in shopping cart and right when i clicked on to pay my kit prices changed from 19.98 to 39.98… I swear it just ticked me off so bad because I had been waiting for the kit to go on sale to be able to get 2 of them…

This is a ridiculous system. If you were in a brick and mortar store you wouldn’t have a price changed from the time between when you put an item in the cart and when you reached the cashier. It seems like there could be a way to fix this problem.

Wonder if you called BB if they would be willing to give you the lower price. Just a suggestion. I’ve been lucky and haven’t had that happen but I always worry that someone else will buy the kit before I can get checked out. Nerve wracking but those sales just pull me in anyway! They also keep me from being willing to buy kits from other places!
Oh no! Sorry that happened to you Lisa- that happened to me one time when I was ordering a Tory kit for a custom order- it was 19.99 then it was 29.99 I wanted to cry!
but i went and bought it anyways. I was being quick about it too! i hadnt even left it there overnight or anything! did you end up getting the kit after all? if you dont need it right away maybe wait a few weeks?
No i didnt get it… it went from 19.98 to 39.98… I just wouldnt do it… I put kits I had up for trade hoping someone will want to trade for what i have.

That happens to me here a lot! It has also happened in a brick and mortar store! Actually at Sam’s Club I was getting gas, and in the middle of filling my car the price changed!!! Boy the men around me were furious! I just continued to fill and when it was done drove the car back up to the store and went to the desk. Not only did they refund the difference but gave me 10 gallons FREE for my inconvenience! roflmbo…might have something to do with state LAW~ LOL They change it in all their stores electronically at the same daily…12:01 EST. They expect that people who are in the process of getting gas will just ask for a refund…but apparently very few do!
I think that here on BB it should be 24 hour wait in the cart before the price can change. But, then who am I to tell them how to run their business? I just don’t buy as much as I would like or need to because I will not be rushed nor gouged.

Same thing happened to me. I guess I won’t order then. Perhaps it is an Artificial Intelligence problem on their cart software. Maybe it’s a trick to make you pay more. I didn’t think BB would do that to us. My order was close to $250+ and then popped up real high. So I am backing down and not going to order. It’s called Clickbaiting.
I would think BB would fix this problem. It has happened to me over and over and makes me not want to order with them. Please BB please don’t clickbait us! Fix your cart so when we put stuff in our cart the price stays for at least an hour or two while we finish our orders. It really makes me upset.
I like the 24 hour idea. Sure there are people who will let something mellow on their cart for a week more while they (a) think about it, (b) wait for a kit they are looking for to go on sale, ©wait for their pay-check to come, etc
And the sales being temporary create urgency. People don’t know if their thing will be on sale tomorrow or even later today! Better act now!
But it is unfair for the price to change while you are looking at eyes and paint and deciding how best to take advantage of the shipping.
I think (I don’t know for a fact) but it doesn’t seem like it would be too hard to hold cart prices stable for 24 hours or “till midnight” or whatever.
But I don’t know, maybe that sort of thing is actually really tricky technology. Sometimes things that seem hard are easy and things that seem like they would be easy are hard
