TV program casting call *UPDATED* SEEKING REBORN FANS FOR DOCUMENTARY SERIES

From Jackie:
SEEKING REBORN FANS FOR DOCUMENTARY SERIES

Hi everyone,

I’m Jackie, a producer at Part2 Pictures in NY. We’re casting an episode of a CNN series about our emotional relationships with non-human companions, and we would love to feature a poignant story about someone whose life has been (or is currently being) profoundly impacted by their Reborn.

We are seeking out active personal stories to film this coming November. For example: Perhaps you are planning to buy a Reborn for a loved one who is moving to a nursing home, or perhaps you sought out a Reborn to help you cope with loss.

Please email me directly if you would like to discuss further and be considered: My email is jackie@part2pictures.com.

Thank you!

My (Emilie) original post about this:
Hello everyone,

Today I spoke to an assistant producer for a show on CNN called This is Life with Lisa Ling. The show features hour-long episodes in a documentary format looking at a variety of topics. They’re working on a show about reborns and other kinds of artificial companions. Specifically they’re looking for someone whose story is compelling and who is going through a transition or change of some kind in their life. I thought maybe someone who is about to receive their first reborn would make a good story, but maybe there are other reborn-related stories too that might work.

To protect privacy please just message me directly or post a comment if you think you have a customer that might be willing to be featured. I’ll connect folks to the person I spoke to. I get the sense that the producers are looking to make a a sincere and heartfelt show on this topic (not sensationalize it).

I was contacted because of my research of reborns.
I’m looking forward to this episode!

How weird…
The producer of that show did a story in which my granddaughter was featured right before covid hit.

He contacted my DIL the other day…
The crew and Lisa filmed here in my house for 3 days and they all loved my babies.

He was asking her all kinds of questions and wanted me to send pix a link to my website.

I told him I wouldn’t have a doll ready for a few weeks and then it would go to auction.

He wants me to contact him and let him know if new owner would be willing to let them film box opening!!

Wow! That sounds so cool! Filming someone bringing a reborn into a senior home would be really special. They tend to love the dolls.

That’s really cool they filmed at your place! Hopefully the timing works out that they can film someone getting their new doll.

I’ve watched that show and she presents the subject matter without judgement and fairly.

I would love to talk to someone about reborns. I have been in this business since 2004. I get dismayed at the protrayals of reborn doll collecting being weirdos who think/treat them as real babies as if we are all mental. I have seen so many positive aspects of reborn doll collecting and would love the opportunity to present the reasonable side of things.
