I just found my first thrift store reborn for $3. Looks like she has been well loved by a child and I think she deserves a makeover.

It looks like she has alternate limbs, which is a plus. The ones that come with her are too small.

OMG. Just in case anybody was wondering, this is what was inside of this poor baby. It is pretty disgusting. Oh and she had Elsie’s limbs.

Mmmm fish tank gravel and used couch batting. Fantastic!

Luckily it looks like she was only ever very lightly painted, so hopefully she’ll be super easy to strip.

That is what I am thinking too. I probably won’t get around to painting her right away but I am going to go ahead and clean her up and get her ready.

So jealous! I scout thrift stores all the time looking for gems cast off in a toy bin, but have never found anything other than well loved play dolls. I can’t wait to see what you do with her!

I actually just got finished stripping her. It was pretty easy since she didn’t have much paint on her. She had more dirt and grim than she did paint. She has a couple of pinkish spots I need to try and get off that I am not sure what they are from. Maybe they will not be to much if a problem.

I hadn’t planned on doing anything with her right away but I just couldn’t go to bed without cleaning her up. I think she feels better already.
