I’m so sad! My favorite thing about the @bountifulbaby website was customer reviews and the real people nonprotpotype artist photos so I could see better reference to size and all kit angles. Whenever shopping for a kit the deciding factor has always been based on how others of my level of skill have painted the kit cause I know it’s not going to look like the prototype artist so I get my inspiration from there most of the time and now the reviews look like fake generated reviews and not real honest reviews. Ok maybe to some the badly painted ones could look like Chinese knock offs to those who think they are getting a completed doll and not a kit but
I really loved seeing true woks of art by other artists to see how they imagined the hair line or eyebrows etc
Oh my god, it does look bad! I also looked at review photos for a better gauge of how the kit can realistically look. I have had a huge pet peeve with BB reviews for years, if you try to write a review with less than 3 stars it won’t post it at all. It gives you an error, but if you add a star it posts with no problem at all. I always felt like it didn’t give an honest picture of kits, unless you read the reviews, you’ll see a 5 star review with all complaints about a kit. I wonder why they got rid of pictures though? That was the best part of the reviews section.
Some were really bad representations of the kit and may have been a bad reflection and result in lower sales? I loved those pics the most cause they gave me confidence
That is actually why I caved and bought Harlow. Maybe they were running out of webspace?
there is a thought but scammers can still steal prototype photos so why bother with photos in the reviews
There was such a variety of ethnic versions there too…
If you look at prototype versions of I think it was canon they ALL look the same because they all made portrait babies based on the real baby so just having those images to go by doesn’t show much diversity
I know. I went there earlier purposely looking for customer photos of a kit. There were none. I was hoping it’s a glitch. Surely they will add them back. @bbsupport where are the customer pics in the reviews? A lot of the kits I’ve bought were strictly as a result of customer photos. I’ve bought very few as a result of looking at prototype pics.
I wonder if they can even do that. Since customers are the ones who posted the photos I wonder if customers would have to be the ones to add the pics back. I hope not.
