Therapy babies

I just found this on You Tube.

This sweet woman, so happy she found a baby to love. This is obviously and older doll once used to teach life skills at a hospital but how beautiful that she bonded with him.

Feeling totally emotional over this, at the end of the day this is were Reborns shine, when they work to help improve the lives of people who are lonely.

Great story.

I was at church this past Sunday, and noticed a young girl and her boyfriend come in. She was carrying a toy doll, about 10 inches long. No clothes on the doll. Boyfriend was carrying a little doll diaper bag.

So…I chatted briefly with her. Told her I would bring her a reborn baby next week  I have a real baby diaper bag here, that I can put some clothing and doll stuff in, to give her. Can’t wait!

Love this!! I enjoy giving my babies more than selling them. You can’t beat the feeling!

Awww I love stories like this.

And yes, I have had more joy in giving mine away than I ever had from selling them. Funny thing is that the dolls I gave away seem to be more treasured than the ones people bought.

Thank you for sharing this. It is a beautiful story!

I have a customer here in France who takes her reborn she bought from me “Lil Smile” everywhere with her. She tells me that “he” is her heart. She is always sending me pictures, poor baby, her hair is everywhere but at least I know that my babies can hold up to some abuse LOL. He always wears a Saint necklace…I think its Saint Christopher…and she always has him dressed in different clothes.
She is what keeps me going, every time I feel like my work is crap I seem to get a picture out of nowhere of Lil Smile “Santiago” having a great time with his Mommy.
She just posted this one on one of the sell sites so I suppose its ok to show here. She wanted to show him off under one of the posts that I put up recently to sell some of my other babies on there.

I make therapy dolls too for kids at the hospital I work at. Yesterday I found a American Girl wheelchair at the thrift store for $3 and it was like winning the lottery. Some special needs little girl will be so happy with her baby this Christmas!!

Definitely

I was planning on giving her my Kyle, but he sold last night.

Good thing I had a Molly started (base layers and mottling), so I will put a rush to get her finished for Sunday.

Oh, I saw Kyle was adopted last night and wanted to send you ‘Congrats’ message, but then remember that you wanted to give your doll to that girl and though that you ‘pulled’ him out of listing for her :).

Now I can say 'Congratulations on your Kyle sale! ’
